Iroquois County Sheriff's Police 11/30/18

On November 25th , 2018, Iroquois County Sheriffs Police investigated a two vehicle accident in Buckley, IL. According to Police repoås, a vehicle driven by a 16 year old male from Loda, IL. was westbound on west Lincoln when he struck a parked vehicle. Both vehicles sustained over $1500 in damages. No injuries were reported and no citations were issued,

 

On November 28th , 2018, Sheldon Police arrested Noah H. Matthews, age 19, of Iroquois, IL. According to Police reports, Matthews was c,harged with possession of cannabis with intent to deliver. Matthews was transported to the Iroquois County Jail where he later posted the required bond and was released-

KAMEG Agents make Drug/Gun Bust

On Monday, November 26, 2018, at approximately 10:46 p.m., KAMEG Agents executed a search warrant at the Economy Inn, 2125 South Schuyler Avenue, Room 223, in Kankakee, Illinois. Agents seized 1 loaded handgun, approximately

12.6 grams of suspected cocaine, approximately 12.7 grams of suspected Alprazolam, and United States currency. Arrested was the occupant, Jamal Campbell, age 24, of Kankakee. Campbell initially fled on foot from the scene, but was later apprehended from a nearby residence. Campbell was arrested for Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Felon, Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and for Unlawful Delivery of a Controlled Substance. Campbell was transported and detained at the Jerome Combs Detention Center. KAMEG was assisted by the Kankakee Police Department.

ISP Arrests

 Illinois State Police (ISP) District 21 is reporting the arrest of Adrian M. Carrillo, 27, of Chicago; Ashlee J. Schroeder, 32, of Valparaiso, IN; Leair C. Byrd, 37, of Kankakee; Kristen J. Sardin, 34, of Robbins; and Dylan M. Dines, 25 of Bradley all for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.   
 
On November 16, 2018 at approximately 7:04 A.M., an Illinois State Trooper was on dispatched to a single vehicle crash on I-57 southbound a milepost 309 in Kankakee County.  The trooper arrived on scene and spoke with the driver, Adrian Carrillo.  Carrillo showed signs of alcohol impairment.  Carrillo was placed under arrest and transported to the Kankakee County Jail for processing.  Carrillo was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and issued a citation for improper lane usage. 
 
On November 22, 2018 at approximately 3:14 A.M., an Illinois State Trooper was on patrol in Kankakee County.  The trooper observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and swerving all over the roadway on Route 17 at Lowe Road.  The trooper stopped the vehicle and spoke with the driver, Ashlee Schroeder.  Schroeder showed signs of alcohol impairment.  Schroeder was placed under arrest and transported to the Kankakee County Jail for processing.  Schroeder was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and issued citations for speeding, and improper lane usage. 
 
On November 23, 2018 at approximately 1:24 A.M., an Illinois State Trooper was dispatched to a single vehicle crash on I-57 northbound at milepost 311 in Kankakee County.  The trooper arrived on scene and spoke with the driver, Leair Byrd.  Byrd showed signs of alcohol impairment.  Byrd was placed under arrest and transported to the Kankakee County Jail for processing.  Byrd was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and issued citations for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, and improper lane usage, and resisting a police officer. 
 
 
 
 
 
On November 24, 2018 at approximately 4:13 A.M., an Illinois State Trooper was on patrol in Kankakee County.  The trooper observed a vehicle traveling under the minimum speed limit and swerving all over the roadway on I-57 southbound at milepost 302.  The trooper stopped the vehicle and spoke with the driver, Kristen Sardin.  Sardin showed signs of alcohol impairment.  Sardin was placed under arrest and transported to the Kankakee County Jail for processing.  Sardin was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and issued citations for violating minimum speed regulations, improper lane usage, and illegal transportation of alcohol.   
 
On November 27, 2018 at approximately 8:22 A.M. an Illinois State Trooper was on patrol in Kankakee County.  The trooper observed a vehicle in the parking lot of the Kankakee River State Park.  The vehicle was running and the driver was slumped over the steering wheel.  The trooper woke the driver, Dylan Dines.  Dines showed signs of alcohol impairment.  Dines was placed under arrest and transported to the Kankakee County Jail for processing.  Dines was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and issued a citation for illegal transportation of alcohol. 

 

Watseka Police Department News 11/28/18

Watseka Police arrested two individuals on 11-26-18 at 5:34 P.M. after Police were called to Walmart about two suspected shoplifters. upon arrival Police learned that the individuals were reportedly switching tags off of items and ringing them up at lower prices. Shane E McCarty, 32 Hoopeston and Bradley A Williams, 30 East Lynn were both arrested for retail theft, McCarty and Williams were transported to the Iroquois County jail.

Iroquois County Sheriff's Police 11/28/18

On November 22 nd , 201b, Iroquois County Sheriffs Police investigated a two vehicle accident on Co, Rd. 2700 E at the intersection with Co. Rd, 1300 N, According to Police reports, a vehicle driven by Billy E. Taylor, age 57, of Milford, IL. was southbound on Co. Rd. 2700 E, while a vehicle driven by Angela L.

Morgan, age 33, of Watseka, IL. was traveling westbound on Co, Rd 1300 N. At the intersection of Co. Rd, 2700 E and Co. Rd. 1300 N Morgan had the right-a-way and Taylor had a yield sign. Taylor disobeyed the yield sign and failed to yield the right-a-way and struck Morgan's vehicle, Both vehicles sustained over $1500 in damages, Morgan was transported to Iroquois Memorial Hospital for treatment and later transported to Carle Hospital jn Urbana, IL, Taylor was issued a citation for disobeying a yield sign.

 

On November 27th , 2018, Iroquois County Sheriff's Police arrested Patrick J. Mulligan, age 43, of Ashkum, IL. According to Police reports, Mulligan was wanted on an outstanding Iroquois Co. warrant charging him with failure to appear for battery. Mulligan was transported to the Iroquois County Jail where he posted the required bond and was released.

Iroquois County Sheriff's Police 11/27/18

On November 23rd, 2018, Iroquois County Sheriffs Police arrested Skyla K. Baldwin, age 18, of Gifford. According to Police reports, Baldwin was wanted on an outstanding Iroquois Co, warrant charging her with residential burglary. She was transported to the Iroquois County Jail where she posted the required bond and was released,

 

On November 23rd, 2018i Iroquois County Sheriffs Pofice arrested Melissa K. Edwards, age 43, of Mattoon. According to Police reports, Edwards was wanted on an outstanding Iroquois Co. warrant charging her with possession of a controlled substance. She was transported to the Iroquois County Jai! where she posted the required bond and was released

 

On November 23rd, 2018, Iroquois County Sheriff's Police arrested Theresa M. Hil!ard, age 37, of Melvin. According to Police reports, Hillard was wanted on an outstanding Iroquois Co. warrant charging her with domestic battery. She was transported to the Iroquois County Jail where she posted the required bond and was released.

 

On November 25th , 2018, Milford Police arrested Matthew M. Minard, age 22, of Milford. According to police reports, Minard was wanted on an cutstanding Kankakee Co. warrant charging him with failure to appear for a traffic offence. He was transported to the Iroquois County Jail where he posted the required bond and was released.

Watseka Police responded to a report of a suspicious person in the 300 block of E Walnut at 8:30 A.M. on 11-25-18.

Watseka Police were called to a business in the 700 block of W Walnut at 12:23 P.M. on 11-25-18 for a disturbance that occurred inside of the business. Tracy L Martin, 55 Watseka was arrested and charged with domestic battery and two counts of criminal damage to property. Martin was transported to the Iroquois County jail.

Watseka Police investigated a two vehicle accident at 1:44 P.M. at Eighth and Walnut on 11-25-18, According to Police reports, a vehicle driven by Gail A Peters, 68 Watseka was turning right when she struck a Westbound vehicle driven by Roger E Hubner, 64 Onarga, Damage was estimated at over $1,500. No injuries were reported and no citations were issued.

Watseka Police Department News 11/21/18

Watseka Police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the 300 block of N Market at 7:37 A.M. on 11-20-18.

Watseka Police investigated a retail theft at Walmart at 11:52 A.M. that led to the arrest of a Milford woman. Police were called to the store after a female had pushed a cart of products out of the store and got into a vehicle in the parking lot, Police were able to obtain video of both the female and the vehicle she got into. At approximately 1:45 P.M. Police located the vehicle in Watseka and made a traffic stop on it, locating the female suspect. After determining the female was the suspect in the earlier theft, she was placed into custody. Angela R Julian, 25 was then arrested and charged with retail theft. Once in custody, Julian was also charged with Possession of a controlled substance and Possession of hypodermic needles after Police located suspected methamphetamine and hypodermic needies on her person. Julian was transported to the Iroquois County jail.

Watseka Police conducted a short investigation on 11-20-18 that led to the arrest of a Watseka man for theft and criminal damage to property. On 11-19-18 Police were notified that in the 1200 block of N Jefferson street 4 power supply cables had been cut off of parked semis at the business. Police then reviewed video surveillance and were able to determine who the suspect was. Jeremiah J Walker, 40 was arrested and charged with theft under $500 and criminal damage to property. Walker posted bond and was released.

Three suspects identified!

Criminal charges have been filed against Demetrius Wright aka “D”,  Alomandos T. Hawkins aka “Manny” and Milton J. Sykes Jr. aka “BD” for Attempted Murder,  Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Serious Violent Felon and  Criminal Recklessness.

On Friday November 16th, a search warrant was granted and executed at a residence and last known location of the suspects in Hopkins Park, IL. An unrelated arrest warrant was served on a female residing at that location. The Newton County Sheriff’s Office  and Prosecutor’s Office was assisted by the  Kankakee County Sheriff’s Department Detective and Emergency Response Team and KAMEG (Kankakee Area Metropolitan Enforcement Group). The gunshot victim and driver of the vehicle that crashed into the mobile home have been identified as Jeffery Fraze Jr.  Mr. Fraze Jr. is being treated for his injuries.

PASSENGER: Unit Two:  2 year old male from Herscher 
 
PRELIMINARY:  Preliminary investigation has indicated the Dodge was traveling eastbound on Route 115 near 7000 West Road.  The Ford was traveling southbound on 7000 West Road and failed to stop at the stop sign at Route 115, striking the Dodge.  Occupants of both vehicles were transported to St. Mary's Hospital with injuries. 
 
CHARGES: James Earleywine was issued a citation for Disobeying a Stop Sign.

Watseka Police responded to a vehicle complaint in the 100 block of W Cherry at 8:59 A.M. on 11-15-18.

Watseka Police investigated a two vehicle accident at 9:49 A.M. on 11-15-18 on Rt 24 near Brianna Drive. According to Police reports a vehicle driven by Gregory A Hazzard, 21 Watseka skidded through a stop sign, causing him to strike a vehicle driven by Alan L Watts, 59 Watseka. Damage was estimated at over $1,500 and no injuries were reported. Hazzard was cited for failure to yield at a stop intersectiom

According to Police reports a vehicle driven by Kenneth Bretveld, 42 Cissna Park backed out of a parking space and struck a vehicle driven by Thomas Webster, 67 Donovan. Damage was estimated at over $1,500. No injuries were reported and no citations were issued,

Watseka Police arrested Bennie J Loveless, 37 Watseka at 4:15 P.M. on 11-19-18. Loveless was charged Failure to register as a sex offender and Possession of a hypodermic needle. Iroquois County Sheriff's Police 11/20/18

Accidents

On November 16th , 2018, Iroquois County Sheriffs Police investigated a single vehicle car vs deer accident on Co. Rd. 1000 N, near Co. Rd. 1150 E. According to police reports, a vehicle driven by Tony A. Chillis, age 46, of St- Anne, was traveling east on 1000 N when a deer entered the road way. Chillis struck the deer resulting in damage in excess of $1500. No injuries were reported, and no citations were issued.


On November 16th, 2018, Iroquois County Sheriff's Police investigated a two vehicle accident at the intersection of Co. Rd. 2950 N. and Co. Rd. 700 E. According to police reports, a vehicle driven by Liming McCarthy, age 56, of Naperville, was traveling north on 700 E. McCarthy stopped at the stop sign but failed to notice a vehicle approaching from the east on 2950 N. McCarthy proceeded through the intersection and struck the westbound vehicle that was being driven by Beth N. Molck, age 31, of Gilman. Molck and her passenger were transported to Riverside Hospital for injuries sustained during the accident. McCarthy was ticketed for disobeying a stop sign.

On November 19th, 2018, Iroquois County Sheriffs Police investigated a single vehicle car vs deer accident at the intersection of Co. Rd. 2200 E. and 2200 N. According to police reports, a vehicle driven by Tammy M. Smith, age 46, of Ashkum, was traveling south on 2200 E. when a deer entered the roadway. Smith struck the deer resulting in damage in excess of $1500. No injuries were reported and no citations were issued.

Arrests

On November 17th , 2018, Iroquois County Sheriff's Police arrested Merideth L. Irwin, age 24, of Hopkins Park. According to police reports, Irwin was wanted on an outstanding warrant charging her with possession of a controlled substance. She was transported to the Iroquois County Jail where posted the required bond and was released.

KAMEG Agents get guns off the streets in Kankakee County

On Friday, November 16, 2018, at approximately 7:54 a.m., KAMEG Agents executed a search warrant at 653 East River Street, Apartment 1, in Kankakee, Illinois. Agents seized 2 shotguns, 1 handgun, and ammunition. Arrested was the resident, Nickolas A. Skaggs, age 29, of Kankakee. Skaggs was arrested for Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Felon, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition by a Felon, and for no FOID card. Skaggs was transported and detained at the Jerome Combs Detention Center.

Iroquois County Sheriff's Police 11/16/18

 

On November 14th , 2018, Onarga Police arrested Steven A. Neathery, age 31, of Onarga, IL- According to police reports, Neathery was wanted on an outstanding Champaign County warrant for driving while license is suspended. Neathery was transported to the Iroquois County Jail where he remains in lieu of bond.

 

On November 14th, 2018, Kevin P. Brackney, age 311 of Fowler, IN. turned himself into the Iroquois County Jail to start serving a 6 year sentence in the Department of Corrections for criminat sexual assault.

 

On November 15th, 2018, Iroquois County Sheriff's Police investigated a single vehicle rollover accident on Co. Rd. 100 N near Co. Rd. 100 E. According to Police reports, a vehicle driven by a seventeen year old male was traveling southbound on Co. Rd. 100 E when he lost control on the snow covered roadway. The vehicle left the roadway, entered the ditch and struck an embankment causing the vehicle to overturn. No injuries were reported and no citations were issued,

 

On November 15th, 2018, Iroquojs County Sheriff's Police investigated a single vehicle rollover accident on Co. Rd. 500 N near Co. Rd. 2100 E. According to Police reportsr a vehicle driven by Teresa Diaz, age 55, of Hoopeston, IL, was traveling westbound on Co. Rd. 500 N when she Jost control on the snow covered roadway. The vehicle left the roadway, entered the ditch and caused the vehicle to overturn. Diaz was transported to Hoopeston Hospital where she was treated for minor injuries. No citations were issued.

On November 15th , 2018, Calvin J. Morton, age 26, of Bradley, IL. turned himself into the Iroquois County Jail to start serving a 3 year sentence in the Department of Corrections for aggravated domestic battery.

 

On November 15th ) 2018, Sandra L, Findlay, age 38, of Rantoul, IL. turned herself into the Iroquois County Jail. Findlay was wanted on an outstanding Iroquois County warrant charging her with driving while license is suspended. Findlay remains at the Iroquois County Jail in lieu of bond.

Watseka Police responded to an activated alarm in the 300 block of E Walnut at 7:21 A.M. on 11-14-18.

Watseka Police responded to a report of a suspicious person in the 400 block of W Walnut at 10:12 A.M. on 11-14-18.

Watseka Police responded to a domestic in the 200 block of N Fourth at 7:52 P.M. on 11-14-18 that lead to an arrest of a Watseka woman.

After Police investigated the domestic complaint, it was found that Shai A Arseneau, 22 Watseka was wanted on a Kankakee County warrant for failure to appear on a retail theft charge, Arseneau was transported to the Iroquois County jail.

Illinois State Police (ISP) District 21 is reporting the arrest Sheila M. Wauters, 46, of Tinley Park; Jason D. Rivera, 36, of Kankakee; Charles E. Copley II, 27, of Wilmington; and James S. Stewart, 39, of Kankakee all for Driving Under the Influence.

On November 7, 2018 at approximately 9:49 P.M., an Illinois State Trooper was dispatched to a motorist assist on I-57 southbound at milepost 303.  The trooper arrived on scene and spoke with the driver, Sheila Wauters.  Wauters showed signs of alcohol impairment.  Wauters was placed under arrest and transported to the Kankakee County Jail for processing.  Wauters was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and issued citations for driving while license suspended and improper parking on the roadway. 
 
On November 10, 2018 at approximately 3:35 A.M., an Illinois State Trooper was dispatched to a vehicle that struck a guardrail on I-57 southbound at milepost 298.  The trooper located the vehicle on I-57 southbound at milepost 288.  The trooper stopped the vehicle and spoke with the driver, Jason Rivera.  Rivera showed signs of alcohol impairment.  Rivera was placed under arrest and transported to the Iroquois County Jail for processing.  Rivera was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and issued citations for driving while license revoked, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, leaving the scene of a property damage crash, and obstructing identification.   
 
On November 10, 2018 at approximately 4:38 P.M., an Illinois State Trooper was on patrol in Kankakee County.  The trooper observed a vehicle swerving all over the roadway on Route 17 at 15000 W Road.  The trooper stopped the vehicle and spoke with the driver, Charles Copley II.  Copley showed signs of drug impairment.  Copley was placed under arrest and transported to the Kankakee County Jail for processing.  Copley was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Drugs and issued citations for improper lane usage, driver’s license not on person, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.   
 

 On November 11, 2018 at approximately 3:21 A.M., an Illinois State Trooper was on patrol in Kankakee County.  The trooper observed a vehicle traveling above the posted speed limit and swerving all over the roadway on Kinzie Ave. at North St. in Bradley.  The trooper stopped the vehicle and spoke with the driver, James Stewart.  Stewart showed signs of alcohol impairment.  Stewart was placed under arrest and transported to the Kankakee County Jail for processing.  Stewart was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and issued citations for speeding, improper lane usage, illegal transportation of alcohol, failure to signal when changing lanes, and driver’s license not on person.

Iroquois County Sheriff's Police 11/13/18



On November 10th , 2018, Gilman Police arrested Benjamin D. Gentry, age 22, of Piper City. According to police reports, Gentry was wanted on outstanding warrants from Ford and McLean Counties. He was transported to the Iroquois County Jail where he awaits extradition back to Ford and McLean Counties.

EARLY SUNDAY SHOOTING IN NEWTON COUNTY

On Sunday November 11, 2018 at approximately 2:58 am, Newton County Dispatch received a 911 call of shots fired inside the Ten Oaks Mobile Home Park in Lincoln TWP (SR10 and CR200E).  

 

Upon deputies arrival, it was discovered the driver of a GMC Sierra pickup truck had driven into a modular home and the vehicle was still occupied. 

 

 Evidence indicated the driver had been shot by an unknown person(s) prior to the crash. The driver was transported to a local hospital and transferred for further care.

 

Names are being withheld at this time pending family notification, the case is still under investigation.

2 CAR ACCIDENT IN NEWTON COUNTY

On November 10th 2018, 8:41am  Newton County 911 received a call regarding a two vehicle collision at the intersection of SR 55 and CR 900 N(1 mile south of SR10).

 

Preliminary investigation determined that a 2005 Toyota passenger car, driven by a 16 year old male from Lake Village, In was traveling Eastbound CR 900 N when he failed to yield the right away to a 2004 Honda passenger car traveling Northbound SR 55. The 2004 Honda was driven by a 17 year old female from Morocco, In.

 

Both drivers, as well as two juvenile passengers from the 2005 Toyota were transported to Riverside Hospital for what is believed to be minor injuries.

 

Newton County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Newton County EMS, Lincoln FD, Indiana Conservation, Keener Township Fire Dept, and Village Motors.

 

Crash remains under investigation. 

Iroquois County Sheriff's Police 11/9/18

On November 7th , 2018, Iroquois County Sheriffs Police arrested Rileigh N. Kilgore, age 19t of Savoy, IL. According to police reports, Kilgore was charged with criminal damage to property. Kilgore was transported to the Iroquois County Jail where she posted the required bond and was released.

 

On November 7th , 2018, Sheldon Police arrested Brittany N. Ealy, age 27, of Sheldon, IL. According to police reports, Ealy was wanted on an outstanding Iroquois County warrant charging her with obstructing justice. Ealy was transported to the Iroquois County Jail where she posted the required bond and was released.

Watseka Police responded to the theft of a bicycle in the 300 block of W Park at 9:01 A.M. on 11-07-18.

Watseka Police responded to Walmart for a report of an attempted theft and trespassing at 1:35 P.M. on 11-07-18 that resulted in the arrests of two area men. While investigating the theft Police learned that one of the suspects had been previously trespass warned by Walmart. Police then located Jeffrey M Reed, 24 Watseka in a vehicle in the parking lot. Police also located Blake D Morefield, 27 Milford as a passenger in the Reed vehicle. Police then arrested Reed and Morefield. Reed was charged with Possession of a controlled substance, Possession of a hypodermic needle and criminal trespass to land. Morefield was charged with Delivery of a controlled substance, Possession of a controlled substance and Possession of a hypodermic needle. Once Reed and Morefield were transported to the Iroquois county jail, correction staff located hypodermic needles on Morefleld, and an added charge of bringing contraband into a penal institution was added. The delivery charge stemmed from an earlier joint operation conducted by KMEG, the Watseka Enforcement Team and the Iroquois County Sheriff's Department.

Illinois State Police (ISP) District 21 is reporting the arrest of Dailynn R. Shearer, 25, of Kankakee; Eurelius Q. Ross, 45, of Kankakee; and Cord J. Church, 24, of Rantoul all for Driving Under the Influence.

On November 3, 2018 at approximately 1:28 A.M., an Illinois State Trooper was on patrol in Kankakee County.  The trooper observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and swerving all over the roadway on Station St. at Canon Ave.  The trooper stopped the vehicle and spoke with the driver, Dailynn Shearer.  Shearer showed signs of alcohol impairment.  Shearer was placed under arrest and transported to the Kankakee County Jail for processing.  Shearer was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and issued citations for speeding, improper lane usage, illegal transportation of alcohol, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. 
 
On November 4, 2018 at approximately 1:14 A.M., an Illinois State Trooper was on patrol in Kankakee County.  The trooper observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and swerving all over the roadway on Route 17 at Lowe Road.  The trooper stopped the vehicle and spoke with the driver, Eurelius Ross.  Ross showed signs of alcohol impairment.  A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed a loaded firearm.  Ross was placed under arrest and transported to the Kankakee County Jail for processing.  Ross was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Carrying a Concealed Firearm While Under the Influence of Alcohol.  Ross was also issued citations for speeding, improper lane usage, and illegal transportation of alcohol. 
 
On November 4, 2018 at approximately 2:51 A.M., an Illinois State Trooper was on patrol in Iroquois County.  The trooper observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed (108 mph in a 70 mph zone) and swerving all over the roadway, striking a guard rail.  The trooper stopped the vehicle and spoke with the driver, Cord Church.  Church showed signs of alcohol impairment.  Church was placed under arrest and transported to the Iroquois County Jail for processing.  Church was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and issued citations for speeding, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, and improper lane usage. 

Watseka Police Department News 11/6/18

The Watseka Police Department, in cooperation with the Illinois

Department of Corrections Parole division arrested a Watseka man at 10:30 P.M. on in the 100 block of E North. Police were summoned to the residence after the Parole agent conducted a search of the residence. During the search Parole and Police located an active meth lab, a small amount of methamphetamine, and numerous items of drug paraphernalia. Thyri Fisk Jr, 32 Watseka was charged with Possession of meth precursors, Possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia, Fisk was transported to the Iroquois County jail.

Watseka Police responded to a civil matter at the Watseka Police Department at 3:47 P.M. on 11-06-18.

Watseka Police investigated a three vehicle accident in the 200 block of W Walnut at 4:19 P.M. on 11-06-18. According to Police reports, a vehicle driven by Robert L Donahue, 93 Watseka was traveling Westbound when he struck a vehicle stopped in traffic driven by Kristine Schroeder, 44 Watseka. Schroeder's vehicle then was pushed into the rear of a third vehicle that left the scene prior to Police arrival. Damage was estimated at over $1,500. No injuries were reported and no citations were issued.

On November 4th , 2018, Iroquois County Sheriffs Police arrested Damien J. Mackins, age 36, of Loda. According to police reports, Mackins was charged with criminal damage to property. He was transported to the Iroquois County Jail where he posted the required bond and was released.

Facebook leads to area mans arrest

The Watseka Police Department, with assistance from the Iroquois County Sheriff's Department concluded a two week investigation that led to the arrest of a Martinton man on Friday, November 2nd . On Wednesday, October 17 th Watseka Police were called to Suzuki Honda in regards to a theft of a four wheeler that had been taken from the back lot after the business was closed. Police were able to obtain video of the theft and later posted it to Watseka Police Facebook page. Numerous citizens called in tips of who the suspect may be and it later led to his arrest after the Information was followed up.

Watseka Police and Iroquois County Sheriff's Police took Eric P Moore, 27 Martinton into custody and he was charged with theft over $10,000 and also possession of narcotic equipment. Moore was transported to the Iroquois County jail,

On October 31 st, 2018, Iroquois County Sheriffs Police arrested Ardell L. Howard, age 27, of Momence, IL. According to police reports, Howard was wanted on an outstanding Iroquois County warrant charging him with battery. Howard was transported to the Iroquois County Jail where he remains in lieu of bond.

 

 

On October 31 st, 2018, Jon G. Rogers, age 25, of Watseka, IL. turned himself into the Iroquois County Jail to starting serving a three year sentence in Department of Corrections for criminal damage to property.

On October 30, 2018 at approximately 7:36 A.M., an Illinois State Trooper was on patrol in Kankakee County.  The trooper observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on I-57 southbound at milepost 314.  The trooper stopped the vehicle and spoke with the driver, Matthew Hani.  A registration inquiry revealed the registered owner, Hani, was wanted on a warrant out of Champaign County for domestic battery.  A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed 42.61 grams of cannabis and drug paraphernalia.  Hani was placed under arrest and transported to the Kankakee County Jail for processing.  Hani was charged with Possession of Cannabis more than 30 but not more than 100, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Wanted on Warrant.  
 
On October 31, 2018 at approximately 2:23 A.M., an Illinois State Trooper was dispatched to a vehicle partially in the roadway on I-57 northbound at milepost 321.  The trooper arrived on scene and spoke with the driver, Javier Montemayor.  Montemayor showed signs of alcohol impairment.  Montemayor was placed under arrest and transported to the Kankakee County Jail for processing.  Montemayor was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and issued citations for driving while license revoked and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. 
 
On October 31, 2018 at approximately 9:28 P.M., an Illinois State Trooper was on patrol in Iroquois County.  The trooper observed a vehicle without the rear registration plate light activated on I-57 southbound at milepost 294.  A registration inquiry revealed the vehicle was stolen out of Chicago.  The trooper stopped the vehicle and spoke with the driver, Abiel Diaz Jr.  Diaz was placed under arrest and transported to the Iroquois County Jail for processing.  Diaz was charged with Possession of a Stolen Vehicle.

Watseka Police investigated a 3 vehicle accident at Jefferson and North Streets at 2:30 P.M. on 10-30-18, According to Police reports, a vehicle driven by Nathan R Wilson, 18 Watseka turned in front of a vehicle driven by Jennifer L Loyd, 44 Chatsworth. This caused the Wilson vehicle to spin and it then struck a vehicle driven by Linda S

Munsterman, 66 Onarga. No Injuries were reported. Wilson was cited for failure to yield when turning left.
