15-Year-Old Gilman Girl Is Missing

A 15-year-old Gilman girl is still missing after being reported gone from her home by her mother at 10:45 Friday night. The girl, Diamond Kohl, is a 5-2, 135-pound white female with brown hair and eyes. Her mother, Tiffany Martinez, called Gilman police Friday night to report Diamond was not at home. Gilman police said there is a 12-hour period of time when she could have left the house at 321 N. Central in Gilman. She left medicine behind, but none is said to be critical. She took a big blue duffel bag. Anyone who sees Diamond is urged to call the county sheriff at 432-4918 or call Gilman city hall

Watseka Police Department News Release 08/02/2017

1. Joseph P. Anderson, 37 of Watseka was arrested on Wednesday August 2, 2017 at 2:44 P.M. in the 1700 block of E. Walnut St. on an Iroquois County warrant charging him with Possession of a controlled substance. Anderson was also charged with a new count of Possession of a controlled substance, and Possession of a hypodermic needle. He was transported to ICSD jail where he awaits a court appearance. 

Iroquois County Sheriff's Police 8-2-17

On August 1st, 2017 Iroquois County Sheriffs Police arrested Michael J. Birch, age 43, of Stookland. According to police reports, Birch was charged with aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol, driving while license suspended, and speeding, He was transported to the Iroquois County Jail where he remains in lieu of bond. 
 
On August 1st, 2017 Iroquois County Sheriff's Police investigated a single vehicle accident on Co. Rd. 1500 E. near 1150 N, According to police reports, a vehicle driven by Sean C. Graham, age 30, of Taylorville IL, was exiting a private drive in Woodworth when he became distracted by an insect flying around inside the vehicle. Graham's vehicle crossed 1500 E. and struck a mailbox on the east side of the roadway. No injuries were reported and no citations were issued. 
 

Watseka Enforcement Team News release 08-01-17

The Watseka Police Enforcement team, in cooperation with Iroquois County Sheriff's Department and the Iroquois County States Attorney's office conducted a two day investigation regarding the illegal sale and production of narcotics in the Watseka area that led to the arrests of 4 local residents. Arrested were: 
Octavio J Alejandre, 30 Watseka. Alejandre was charged with Possession of a controlled substance, Possession of a hypodermic needle and Possession of drug paraphernalia. Patrick M Laird, 41 Watseka. Laird was wanted on an Iroquois County warrant charging him with Unlawful Methamphetamine conspiracy, Unlawful participation in methamphetamine production, Unlawful possession of methamphetamine manufacturing materials and unlawful disposal of methamphetamine manufacturing waste. Tyson H Gass, 39 Watseka. Gass was wanted on an Iroquois county warrant charging him with Unlawful methamphetamine conspiracy, Unlawful participation in methamphetamine production, Unlawful possession of methamphetamine making materials and unlawful disposal of methamphetamine manufacturing waste. Gass was also wanted on two unrelated Iroquois County warrants and another Indiana warrant. 
Crystal H Cavazos, 34 Watseka. Cavazos was wanted on an Iroquois County warrant for delivery of a controlled substance, 
All four individuals were transported to the Iroquois County jail. The investigation is ongoing and more arrests are expected. 

Watseka Police Department News Release 07/31/17

1. Charles M. Hopkins, 66 of Sheldon was ticketed on Monday July 31, 2017 at 4:14 P.M. for No valid driver's license, after he was stopped on N. 2nd St., near W. Oak St. for improper lane usage. He posted bond and was released,
 
2. Travis L. Houser, 26 of Watseka was arrested on Sunday July 30, 2017 at 11:50 P.M. in the 500 block of E. Walnut St. for Retail theft from Walmart earlier in the day. He was transported to 1CSD jail where he awaits a court appearance.
 
3. Rebecca A. Clark, 38 of Watseka was arrested on Monday July 31, 2017 at 12:36 A.M. in the 300 block of N. 6th St. for Retail theft from Gas Depot on July 29, 2017. She posted bond and was released.
 
4. Police took a report in the 700 block of E. Mulberry St. of a bicycle that was stolen in the 100 block of E. North St. on Sunday July 30, 2017 between 5:30 A.M. and 12:00 noon.
