Iroquois County Emergency Management Agency-Extreme Cold Warming Centers

For local residents whose homes cannot keep up with the cold temperatures, the following warming centers are opening: 
 
? Watseka Public Library at 201 South 4th Street in Watseka. Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday, 10 AM to 2 PM. ? Trinity Church at 1658 East Walnut Street in Watseka. Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday, 9 AM to 5 PM. ? Crescent City Community Center at 301 Main Street. Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday, 7 AM to 9 PM. ? St. Paul’s Lutheran Church at 116 North Thomas Street in Gilman. Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday, 8 AM to 5 PM. ? Church of Christ at 103 South Street in Martinton. Tuesday evening through Friday morning, 24/7. ? United Methodist Church at 202 South Locust Street in Loda. Wednesday & Thursday, 10 AM to 5 PM. ? KAMEG Agents make 2 local arrests

On Friday, January 25, 2019, at approximately 7:07 p.m., KAMEG Agents located and arrested Angel J. Schoeberl, age 31, of rural St. Anne. KAMEG Agents arrested Schoeberl in the 300 block of East Oak Street in Kankakee. Schoeberl was wanted on an outstanding Iroquois County warrant for residential burglary and unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon. Schoeberl was transported to the Jerome Combs Detention Center.

 

On Sunday, January 27, 2019, at approximately 9:31 p.m., KAMEG Agents located and arrested Kendall D. Harris, age 33, of Kankakee. KAMEG Agents arrested Harris in the 400 block of South Dearborn Avenue in Kankakee. Harris was charged with unlawful delivery of a controlled substance stemming from a previous investigation. Harris was transported to the Jerome Combs Detention Center.

Iroquois County Man Arrested by ISP and KMEG

On Thursday, January 24, 2019, at approximately 11:30 p.m., an ISP District 21 Trooper conducted a traffic stop for a moving violation southbound on Interstate 57 at milepost 321. A District 21 K-9 unit was requested and a positive alert led to a probable cause search of the vehicle. Officers seized approximately 12 ounces of suspected powder cocaine from the inside of the vehicle. Arrested was Richard A. Willison, age 33, of Chebanse. Willison was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. Willison was transported to the Jerome Combs Detention Center. KAMEG assisted in the investigation.

Iroquois County Sheriff's Police 1/28/19

On January 24th, 2019, Clifton Police arrested Pamela J. Archer, age 31, of Clifton, IL. According to police reports, Archer was charged with domestic battery and resisting a peace officer. Archer was transported to the Iroquois County Jail where she remains in lieu of bond,

 

On January 25th, 2019, Iroquois County Sheriffs Police arrested Devany L. Kocsis, age 20, of

IL. According to police reports, Kocsis was wanted on an outstanding Iroquois County warrant charging her with promotion of juvenile prostitution. Kocsis was transported to the Iroquois County Jail where she remains in lieu of bond.

 

On January 26th, 2019, Iroquois County Sheriffs Police arrested Angel J. Schoberi, age 30, of St. Anne, IL, According to police reports, Schoberi, was wanted on an outstanding Iroquois County warrant charging him with theft, residential burglary, possession of a weapon by a felon, and aggravated possession of a stolen firearm, Schoberi, was transported to the Iroquois County Jail where he remains in lieu of bond.

 

On January 27th , 2019, Iroquois County Sheriffs Police arrested Nicholas J. Davis, age 301 of Sheldon, IL. According to police reports, Davis was charged with domestic battery. Davis was transported to the Iroquois County Jail where he remains in lieu of bond.

Iroquois County Sheriff's Police 1/25/19

On January 22nd , 2019, Iroquois County Sheriffs Police arrested Damarlo R. Crawford, age 20, of Sheldon. According to police reports, Crawford was charged with criminal damage to property. He was transported to the Iroquois County Jail where he posted the required bond and was released.

 
   


On January 23rd, 2019, 'roquois County Sheriff's Police arrested Thomas D. Wilson, age 54, of Donovan. According to police reports, Wilson was wanted on an outstanding Iroquois County warrant charging him with violation of and order of protection. He was transported to the Iroquois County Jail where he posted the re uired bond and was released.

KAMEG Agents take more drugs off the street

On Saturday, January 19, 2019, at approximately 10:49 p.m., KAMEG Agents located and arrested Philip R. Birdsong, age 41, near the intersection of East Bourbonnais Street and South Rosewood Avenue in Kankakee. Birdsong was arrested for unlawful delivery of a controlled substance stemming from a previous KAMEG investigation. Birdsong was transported to the Jerome Combs Detention Center. Jail personnel located approximately 2.7 grams of suspected crack cocaine, approximately 2.7 of suspected powder cocaine, and 7 suspected ecstasy pills on his person. Birdsong was additionally charged with unlawful possession of controlled substance and for bringing contraband into a penal institution.

Watseka Police investigated a theft in the 1200 block of E Walnut on 01-16-19 that led to the arrest of a Milford woman on 01-18-19. Monica A Pintelon, 56 was charged with retail theft after the investigation was concluded. Pintelon was transported to the Iroquois County jail.

Iroquois County Sheriff's Police 1/21/19

On January '18th 2019, Iroquois County Sheriffs Police arrested Angela Julian, age 25, of Watseka,  IL According to police reports, Julian was wanted on an outstanding Iroquois County warrant, Julian was transported to the Iroquois County Jail where she remains in lieu of bond.

 

On January 19th , 2019, Iroquois County Sheriffs Police arrested Tori Irvin, age 20, of Gilman, IL. According to police reports, Irvin was wanted on an outstanding Iroquois County warrant charging her with possession of a stolen vehicle. Irvin was transported to the Iroquois County Jail where she remains in lieu of bond.

 

On January 19th, 2019, Sheldon Police arrested Patrick K, Lasage, age 28, of Sheldon, IL. According to police reports, Lasage was charged with domestic battery. Lasage was transported to Iroquois County Jail where he remains in lieu of bond.

 

On January 19th, 2019, Iroquois County Sheriff's Police investigated a two vehicle accident at the intersection of S 4th and Lake St. in Ashkum. According to police reports, a vehicle driven by Lisa A, Lemenger, age 55, of Ashkum was traveling southbound on S. 4th when her vehicle lost control on the snow and ice covered roadway at the intersection with Lake St. Lemenger slid in front of a vehicle being driven by Kathleen E. Davis, age 55, of Clifton, who was eastbound on Lake St. Both vehicles sustained over $1500 in damages. No injuries and no citations were issued.

Watseka Police Department News 1/17/19

Watseka Police investigated a two-vehicle accident in the 300 block of E Locust St at 2:18 P.M. on 01-15-19. According to Police reports, a vehicle driven by Pam S Guenette, 59 Watseka was traveling

Westbound on Locust when she lost control of her vehicle on the snow covered road striking a parked vehicle belonging to Shawn and Lori Edwards of Watseka. No injuries were reported and no citations were issued. Damage was estimated at over $1,500.

KAMEG Agents take drugs and guns of the streets

On Tuesday, January 15, 2019, at approximately 5:00 p.m., KAMEG Agents located and arrested Deric Wren Jr., age 37, in the 500 block of East Cypress Street in Kankakee, Illinois. Wren Jr. was arrested on two counts of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance and for unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. KAMEG Agents also seized approximately 3.9 grams of suspected ecstasy. Wren Jr. was transported to the Jerome Combs Detention Center.

 

On Wednesday, January 16, 2019, at approximately 11:19 a.m., KAMEG Agents executed a search warrant at 718 South Elm Avenue in Kankakee, Illinois. During the search, Agents seized approximately 2 firearms, ammunition, suspected heroin, and suspected drug paraphernalia. A resident, Jalen M. Lane, age 23, was arrested and charged with possession of a weapon by a felon and for aggravated unlawful use of a weapon by a felon. Lane was transported to the Jerome Combs Detention Center.

ISP DUI Arrest

On January 11, 2019 at approximately 8:33 A.M., an Illinois State Trooper was dispatched to a car vs. semi crash on I-57 northbound at milepost 314 in Kankakee County.  The trooper arrived on scene and spoke with the driver, Christopher Walrath.  Walrath showed signs of alcohol impairment.  Walrath was placed under arrest and transported to the Kankakee County Jail for processing.  Walrath was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and issued citations for illegal transportation of alcohol, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. 
 
 

Iroquois County Sheriff's Police 1/15/19

On January 13th, 2019, Iroquois County Sheriff's Police investigated a single vehicle accident on Co. Rd. 2100 N at the intersection of Co. Rd. 1930 E. According to police reports, a vehicle driven by Clara J. Hughes, age 52, of Watseka, IL. was traveling westbound on Co. Rd. 2100 N when she began to skid out of control on the snow covered roadway. The vehicle slid across the intersection with Co. Rd- 1930 E. and down into a ditch which had water in it. Hughes was transported to IMH for minor treatment and the vehicle sustained over $1500 in damages. No citations were issued

 

On January 13th , 2019, Iroquois County Sheriffs Police investigated a single vehicle accident on Co. Rd.1700 N near Co. Rd. 1100 E. According to police reports, a vehicle driven by Daniel O. Smith, age 54, of Watseka, IL. was traveling eastbound on Co, Rd. 1700 N when he began to skid out of control on the snow covered roadway. The vehicle left the roadway and entered the ditch causing over $1500 jn damages. Smith was transported to IMH for minor treatment and no citations were issued.

Watseka Police responded to a report of theft of a vehicle in the 400 block of E Hickory Ct at 6:33 A.M. on 01-10-19. The vehicle was later recovered south of Watseka.

Watseka Police responded to a two vehicle accident in the 100 block of W Walnut at 11:52 P.M. on 01-12-19. According to Police reports, a vehicle driven by Joshua N Musk, 23 Watseka was turning Westbound onto Walnut and due to road condition he lost control of his vehicle, striking a parked vehicle belonging to Jon D Mann, Watseka. No

injuries were reported and no citations were issued. Damage was estimated at over $1,500.

Watseka Police responded to a two vehicle accident in the 400 block of S Fourth at 1:20 P.M. on 01-12-19. According to Police reports, a vehicle driven by Fabiola Chavez, 52 Cissna Park was traveling behind a        vehicle driven by Lance T Franck, 26 Watseka. The Franck vehicle then stopped at a stop sign but due to poor road conditions the Chavez vehicle was unable to stop, striking the Franck vehicle. No injuries were reported and no citations were issued. Damage was estimated at over $1,500.

 
   


Watseka Police responded to a one vehicle accident in the 1000 block of E Walnut at 2:54 P.M. on 01-12-19. According to Police reports, a

vehicle driven by Michael J Owens, 29 Milford was traveling Eastbound when it struck a curb. No injuries were reported and no citations were issued. Damage was estimated at over $1,500.

Watseka Police responded to a report of a burglary in the 100 block of E North St at 3:08 P.M. on 01-12-19.

Watseka police responded to a report of a hit & run accident in the 700 block of S Third at 9:00 P.M. on 01-12-19. According to Police reports, an unknown vehicle struck a parked vehicle owned by Skyler J Hasselbring, 57 Watseka. No injuries were reported and no citation were issued. Damage was estimated at over $1,500.

Watseka Police arrested Anthony J Morgan, 26 Watseka at 2:49 A.M. on

01-13-19 after Police were called to a residence in the 200 block of Hubbard Ct. Morgan was charged with domestic battery and was transported to the Iroquois County jail.

Watseka Police issued a city ordinance violation to Brandon W Lowe, 19 Watseka for an inoperable/junk vehicle 

Iroquois County Sheriff's Police 1/14/19

On January11 th, 2019, Gilman Police arrested Adam S. Blair, age 29, of Gilman, IL. According to police reports, Blair Was wanted on an outstanding Iroquois County warrant charging him with possession of a stolen vehicle, Blair was transported to the Iroquois County Jail where remains in lieu of bond.

On January 11 th, 2019, Jurron F. Mays, age 37, of Champaign, IL. turned himself into the Iroquois County Jail to start serving a 30 day sentence for driving while license is suspended.

On January 12th, 2019, Kiesha K, Ates, age 35, of Riverdale, IL. turned herself into the Iroquois County Jail. Ates was wanted on an outstanding Iroquois County warrant charging her with DUI. Ates later posted the required bond amount and was released,

On January 13th, 2019, Iroquois County Sheriffs Police arrested Brent E. Durflinger, age 38, of

Chillicothe, IL, According to police reports, Durflinger was charged With driving while license is revoked. Durflinger was transported to the Iroquois County Jail where he later posted the required bond and was released.         

KAMEG Agents make Drug Bust in Kankakee County

On Thursday, January 10, 2019, at approximately 2:01 p.m., law enforcement agents executed a search warrant at 135 Joyce Drive in Manteno, Illinois.  During the search, Agents seized approximately 2 kilograms of suspected cocaine, approximately 20 segregated parts of suspected LSD, approximately 6.71 grams of suspected ketamine, and suspected drug paraphernalia.  A resident, Zachary Zielinski, age 22, was arrested and charged with cocaine trafficking and two counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. Zielinski was transported to the Jerome Combs Detention Center.  KAMEG was assisting the United States Postal Inspection Service.  Other agencies assisting were the Chicago Police Department and the Manteno Police Department.       

Missing Person found deceased

On the evening of January 10th, 2019 at 5:51pm the Newton County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a possible missing person from the rural Kentland area.

The caller stated the missing person was on his way to meet another individual at 7pm on the previous night and had never arrived. They also had not been able to make contact with the subject which was unusual.

 Newton County Officer’s began an investigation and gathered information from subjects familiar with the missing person. Contact was made with the subject’s cell phone carrier and the last known location of the cellular device was provided to officers.

 Newton County Sheriff and Kentland Officer’s searched a large ditch in the area of Bailie Street and CR 250 W, at which time a bicycle with an unresponsive male was located partially submerged in the water.

The subject was identified as 68 year old Gary Foster of Kentland, Indiana. Mr. Foster was pronounced dead at the scene by the Newton County Coroner’s Office.  There is currently no evidence of foul play. Death investigation is being conducted by the Newton County Sheriff’s Office and Newton County Coroner.

Iroquois County Sheriff's Police 1/11/19

On January 8th, 2019, Iroquois County Sheriffs Police arrested Andrew J. Janssen, age 40, of Onarga. According to police reports, Janssen was wanted on an outstanding writ of body warrant. He was transported to the Iroquois County Jail where he posted the required bond and was released.

 

 

On January 8th, 2019, Iroquois County Sheriffs Police arrested David H. Smallwood, age 23, of Cissna Park. According to police reports, Smallwood was charged with failure to register as sex offender. He was transported to the Iroquois County Jail where he remains in lieu of bond.

On January 10th, 2019, Iroquois County Sheriffs Police returned from Vermilion Co. with Alyssa M.

 

 
   



Eighnort age 32, of Sheldon. According to police reports, Eighnor was wanted on an outstanding Iroquois County warrant charging her with failure to appear for burglary. She was transported to the Iroquois County Jail where she remains in lieu of bond.

ISP District 21 Announces 2018 Activity and Enforcement

– Illinois State Police District 21 Commander, Captain Don Aaron Harsy, 
announced today activity and enforcement figures for calendar year 2018.   
Illinois State Police District 21 Troopers issued 6,436 citations, 10,586 written warnings, 
including 153 DUIs, 516 seatbelt citations, 304 criminal arrests, along with 1,346 enforcement 
details. Troopers also assisted 2,078 motorists, conducted 2,181 Motor Carrier Inspections, and 
investigated 826 traffic crashes.  Of those crashes investigated by District 21, 11 were fatal 
traffic crashes resulting in 15 fatalities.  
According to the National Safety Council the major contributing factors to motor-vehicle 
deaths in the United States are lack of occupant protection, alcohol, speeding, young drivers, 
distractions, and large trucks. 
In an effort to reduce fatalities, the Illinois State Police uses enforcement activities and 
educational programs to fight these major contributing factors. 

Iroquois County Sheriff's Police 1/8/19

On January 6th , 2019, Iroquois County Sheriffs Police arrested Eric J. Holt, age 31, of Watseka, IL. According to police reports, Holt was charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Holt was transported to the Iroquois County Jail where he remains in lieu of bond.

Illinois State Police (ISP) District 21 is reporting the arrest of Dennarius R. Fisher, 33, of Kankakee; and Wyatt N. Reynolds, 23, of Manteno both for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol

On January 6, 2019 at approximately 2:09 A.M., an Illinois State Trooper was on patrol in Kankakee County.  The trooper observed a vehicle with an expired registration sticker on Kinzie Ave. at Mulligan Dr.  The trooper stopped the vehicle and spoke with the driver, later identified as Dennarius Fisher.  Fisher showed signs of alcohol impairment.  Fisher was placed under arrest and transported to the Kankakee County Jail for processing.  Fisher was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Obstructing Identification.  Fisher was also issued citations for no valid driver’s license, failure to carry driver’s license on person, and driving with expired license plates,  
 
On January 7, 2019 at approximately 2:13 A.M., an Illinois State Trooper was on patrol in Kankakee County.  The trooper observed a vehicle traveling all over the roadway on 1000W at 5000N.  The trooper stopped the vehicle and spoke with the driver, Wyatt Reynolds.  Reynolds showed signs of alcohol impairment.  Reynolds was placed under arrest and transported to the Kankakee County Jail for processing.  Reynolds was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and issued a citation for improper lane usage.

Iroquois County Sheriff's Police 1/7/19

On January 3rd, 2019, Iroquois County Sheriffs Police arrested Merideth Irwin, age 24, of Hoopeston, IL. According to police reports, Irwin was wanted on an outstanding Newton County, IN warrant, Irwin was transported to the Iroquois County Jail where she awaits extradition back to Newton County.

On January 3rd, 2019, Babtunde Akintayo, age 35, of Calumet City, IL. turned himself into the Iroquois County Jail. Akintayo was wanted on an outstanding Iroquois County warrant charging him with driving while license is suspended. Akintayo later posted the required bond and was released.

On January 3rd, 2019, Iroquois County Sheriffs Police investigated a single vehicle accident in the 400 block of Main St. in Iroquois, IL, According to police reports, a vehicle driven by Dorothy A. Hamrick, age 59, of Donovan, IL, failed to negotiation a curve and went into the ditch striking culvert. Hamrick was transported to IMH and treated for minor injuries, The vehicle sustained over $1500 in damages and no citations were issued.

On January 4th , 2019, Iroquois County Sheriff's Police arrested Devin A. McNeely, age 31, of Woodland, IL. According to police reports, McNeely was wanted on an outstanding Ford County warrant charging him with possession of drug paraphernalia, McNeely was transported to the Iroquois County Jail where he remains in lieu of bond.

On January 5th, 2019, Gilman Police arrested Mateo H. Moreno, age 21, of Thawville, IL. According to police reports, Moreno was wanted on an outstanding Iroquois County warrant charging him with unlawful delivery of a controlled substance. Moreno was transported to the Iroquois County Jail where he remains in lieu of bond.

On January 6th, 2019, Iroquois County Sheriffs Police investigated a single vehicle accident on Co, Rd. 1900 N near Co. Rd 1800 E. According to police reports, a vehicle driven by Robertson A. Loeffler, age 23, of Crescent City, IL. was traveling westbound on Co, Rd, 1900 N when two deer ran into the roadway- Loeffler struck one deer and the second deer ran into the side of his vehicle. The vehicle sustained over $1500 in damages. No citations were issued and no injuries were reported.

Watseka Police Department News 1/6/19

  1. Police responded to a verbal domestic in the 100 block of E. Oak at 7:56 am.
  2. Police responded to a burglary to a motor vehicle in the 500 block of E. Walnut at 1:06 pm. 3. Police responded to a 911 call reporting a physical domestic in the area of 4th and Ash at 1:34 pm.
  1. Police responded to trespassers in the Sugar Creek Ct. area at 2:30 pm.
  2. Police conducted a traffic stop in the 400 block of W. Walnut at 3:21 pm. Arrested during the stop was Roscoe Durflinger Jr. 29, Watseka, for driving while license suspended. He was transported to the County Jail.
  3. Police responded to a call of a gas can leaking on Walnut St. near the rail road tracks at 4:41 pm. This matter was turned over to Watseka Fire.
  4. Police conducted a welfare check in the 700 block of E. Oak St. at 5:37 pm.
  5. Police responded to an accident in the Walrnart Parking lot at 8:35 pm. According to reports a 2016 Chevy, operated by Donna Mann, 75, Milford, backed into a pole. There was more than $1500.00 damage and no citations or injuries reported.

5 counts of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance lands Kankakee man in jail

On Thursday, January 3, 2019, at approximately 9:48 a.m., KAMEG Agents executed a search warrant at 681 South Poplar Avenue in Kankakee, Illinois. During the search, Agents seized approximately 0.9 grams of suspected cocaine and drug paraphernalia. A resident, Jursalle J. Hairston, age 45, was arrested and charged with five counts of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance stemming from previous KAMEG investigations. Hairston was transported to the Jerome Combs Detention Center.

Watseka Police Department News 1/4/19

1. Police responded to the 500 block N. Market in reference to possible drug activity in the area at 6:00am.

2, Police responded to a burglar alarm in the 1400 block of E. Walnut St. at 7:40 am.

  1. Police responded to the 300 block of E. Walnut in reference to syringes located on the ground at 8:03 am.
  2. Police conducted a traffic stop at 8th and Walnut at 10:14 am. Cited during the stop was Mike Malone, Watseka, for Improper Display of Registration and No Insurance. He posted bond and was released,
  3. Police responded to the 800 block of W. Walnut for a theft report at 2:18 pm.
  4. Police responded to the 100 block of E. Oak in reference to suspicious persons at 8:15 pm.

Illinois State Police (ISP) District 21 is reporting the arrest of Kendall R. Kupferer, 33, of Donovan for DUI; Jeremiah A. Garner, Sumava Resorts, IN for DUI; Kody J. Lareau, 21, of Kankakee for DUI; Phillip J. Gray, 54, of Lockport for DUI; Rudy E. Bau

On December 22, 2018 at approximately 6:45 P.M., an Illinois State Trooper was dispatched to a crash on Route 1 at Route 17 in Kankakee County.  The trooper was informed that the at fault vehicle did not stop.  An Officer from Bradley PD located and stopped the vehicle.  The trooper arrived on scene and spoke with the driver, Kendall Kupferer.  Kupferer showed signs of alcohol impairment.  Kupferer was placed under arrest and transported to the Kankakee County Jail for processing.  Kupferer was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and issued citations for failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash and leaving the scene of a property damage crash. 
 
On December 23, 2018 at approximately 1:31 P.M., an Illinois State Trooper was dispatched to a single vehicle crash on Route 114 at 13250 E Road in Kankakee County.  The trooper arrived on scene but was unable to locate the driver.  The trooper located the driver, Jeremiah Garner, at a nearby bar.  Garner showed signs of drug impairment.  Garner was placed under arrest and transported to the Kankakee County Jail.  Due to Garner’s drug use, he was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital.  Garner was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Drugs and issued citations for driving while license suspended, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, improper lane usage, driving with expired license plates, and leaving the scene of a property damage crash.  
 
On December 23, 2018 at approximately 1:08 A.M., an Illinois State Trooper was on patrol in Kankakee County.  The trooper observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed (112 mph in a 55 mph zone) on Route 17 at 5000E Road.  The trooper stopped the vehicle and spoke with the driver, Kody Lareau.  Lareau showed signs of alcohol impairment.  Lareau was placed under arrest and transported to the Kankakee County 
Jail for processing.  Lareau was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and issued citations for speeding, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, improper lighting. 
 
On December 25, 2018 at approximately 2:55 P.M., an Illinois State Trooper was dispatched to a reckless driver on I-57 southbound in Iroquois County.  The trooper caught up to the vehicle on I-57 southbound at milepost 292.  The trooper observed the vehicle traveling all over the roadway.  The trooper stopped the vehicle and spoke with the driver, Phillip Gray.  Gray showed signs of drug impairment.  A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed 1.9 grams of heroin and drug paraphernalia.  Gray was placed under arrest and transported to the Iroquois County Jail for processing.  Gray was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Drugs and Possession of a Controlled Substance.  Gray was also issued citations for improper lane usage and possession of drug paraphernalia.   
 
On December 29, 2018 at approximately 12:20 A.M., an Illinois State Trooper was on patrol in Kankakee County.  The trooper observed a vehicle speeding and traveling all over the roadway on Route 50 at 6000 N Road.  The trooper stopped the vehicle and spoke with the driver, Rudy Bauer.  Bauer showed signs of alcohol impairment.  Bauer was placed under arrest and transported to the Kankakee County Jail for processing.  Bauer was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and issued citations for speeding, improper lane usage, and failure to signal when changing lanes. 
 
On December 29, 2018 at approximately 1:32 A.M., an Illinois State Trooper was dispatched to a crash on Route 1/17 at 500N Road in Kankakee County.  The trooper arrived on scene and spoke with the driver, Julius E. Burkes.  Burkes showed signs of alcohol impairment.  Due to injuries sustained from the crash, Burkes was transported to Riverside Hospital.  Burkes was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and issued citations for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. 
 
On December 29, 2018 at approximately 3:38 A.M., an Illinois State Trooper was on patrol in Kankakee County.  The trooper observed a vehicle speeding and traveling all over the roadway on Schuyler Ave. and South Tec Dr.  The trooper stopped the vehicle and spoke with the driver, Chasity Lee.  A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed cannabis.  Lee was placed under arrest and transported to the Kankakee County Jail for processing.  Lee was charged with Possession of Cannabis More than 100 Grams but less than 500 Grams.  Lee was also issued citations for speeding, improper lane usage, and expired registration. 
 
On January 1, 2019 at approximately 4:40 A.M., an Illinois State Trooper was dispatched to a vehicle in the ditch on Route 24 at 300E in Iroquois County.  The trooper arrived on scene and spoke with the driver, Nicholas Dohman.  Dohman showed signs of alcohol impairment.  Dohman was placed under arrest and transported to the Iroquois County Jail for processing.  Dohman was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and issued citations for improper lane usage, driving while license suspended, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

On December 28th , 2018, Iroquois County Sheriffs Police arrested Kyle N. Martin, age 22, of Watseka, According to police reports, Martin was wanted on an outstanding warrant charging him with possession of a stolen vehicle, theft, forgery, and deceptive practice. He was transported to the Iroquois County Jail where he remains in lieu of bond.

On December 28th, 2018, Iroquois County Sheriff's Police arrested Jordan M. Morgan, age 21, of Watseka. According to police reports, Morgan was wanted on an outstanding Iroquois County warrant charging him with forgery and possession of a stolen motor vehicle. He was transported to the Iroquois County Jail where he remains in lieu of bond.

 
 


On December 28th, 2018, Iroquois County Sheriffs Police arrested David M. Dewitt, age 39, of

Martinton. According to police reports, Dewitt was charged with theft under $300. He was transported to the Iroquois County Jail where he posted the required bond and was released.

On December 29th, 2018, Iroquois County Sheriffs Police arrested John M. Planinsek, age 32, of Buckley. According to police reports, Planinsek was wanted on an outstanding Grundy County warrant. He was transported to the Iroquois County Jail where he awaits extradition back to Grundy County.

On December 29th, 2018, Gilman Police arrested James Martinez, age 30, of Piper City. According to police reports, Martinez was wanted on an outstanding Iroquois County warrant charging him with domestic battery. He was transported to the Iroquois County Jail where he remains in lieu of bond.

  3. Police arrested Jeremiah Walker, 40, Watseka, at 9:04 am for Burglary, Theft over $300.00 Criminal Damage to Property, and Criminal Trespass to Real Property. His arrest came after an investigation in to the burglary of a local business. He was transported to the County Jail.
