Iroqouis County Sheriff's Police 5-22-17

On May 19th, 2017 Iroquois County Sheriff's Police arrested Kiley L. Allie, age 37, of Braidwood.  Allie was wanted on an outstanding Iroquois County warrant charging her with writ of body.  She was transported to the Iroquois County Jail where she posted the required bond.  Allie was then released to the Douglas County Sheriff's Police for outstanding warrants in Douglas County.

Watseka Police News for 5-10-17

Justin M. Halbert, 31 of Crete, IL was arrested on Wednesday May 10, 2017 at 6:45am for Driving While License Revoked.  He was stopped on W. North St. near N. Wabash St. after an Officer ran the registration on his vehicle and it returned that his driver's license was revoked.  He was transported to ICSD Jail where he later posted bond and was released.

Iroqouis County Sheriff's Police 5-11-17

On May 10th, 2017 Iroqouis County Sheriff's Police arrested Jill N. Williams, age 32, of Sheldon, IL.  Williams was wanted on an Iroquois County warrant charging her with theft over $500.  She was taken into custody and transported to the Iroquois County Jail where she posted the required bond and was released.

 

Onarga PD:

On May 11th, 2017 Onarga Police arrested Taylor A. Vanderploeg, age 19, of Onarga, IL.  Vanderploeg was wanted on an Iroquois County warrant charging him with child pornography.  He was taken into custody and transported to the Iroquois County Jail where he remains in lieu of bond.

 

ISP Arrests DUI Arrests

ASHKUM, IL- Illinois State Police (ISP) District 21 is reporting the arrests of Claudia Negrete, 31, of Kankakee; Wayne R.A. Wray, 22, of Midlothian; Dwain L. Jerantowski, 64, of Aroma Park; and Joseph Jarmon, 40, of Woodridge for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. 

 

On May 3, 2017 at approximately 11:31 P.M., an Illinois State Trooper was on patrol in Kankakee County.  The trooper observed a vehicle fail to signal when turning.  The trooper stopped the vehicle and spoke with the driver, Claudia Negrete.  Negrete showed signs of alcohol impairment.  Negrete was placed under arrest and transported to the Kankakee County jail for processing.  Negrete was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.  Negrete was also issued citations for failure to signal when required, expired registration, and failure to notify S.O.S of address change.

 

On May 5, 2017 at approximately 11:40 P.M., an Illinois State Trooper was dispatched to a single vehicle crash on IL 1/17 at 8000 North Road.  The trooper arrived on scene and spoke with the driver, Wayne Wray.  Wray showed signs of alcohol impairment.  Wray was placed under arrest and transported to the Kankakee County jail for processing.  Wray was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.  Wray was also issued citations for illegal transportation of alcohol and reckless driving.

 

On May 6, 2017 at approximately 8:18 P.M., an Illinois State Trooper was dispatched to a single vehicle crash on US 45/52 at 6721 South Road.  The trooper arrived on scene and spoke with the driver, Dwain Jerantowski.  Jerantowski showed signs of alcohol impairment.  Jerantowski was placed under arrest and transported to the Kankakee County jail for processing.  Jerantowski was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Violation of Conceal Carry Permit. Jerantowski was also issued citations for possession of drug paraphernalia and leaving the scene of a property damage crash. 

Watseka Police News for 5-3-17

Jeanette Wesley, 59 of Watseka and Wayne Arseneau, 72 of Beaverville were involved in a traffic accident in the parking lot of Burger King.  No injuries were reported.  No citations were issued.

 

Alejandro Dominguez, 34 of Watseka was issued a City Ordinance citation on Tuesday, for allowing his dog to run at large.

 

Avery Durflinger, 35 of Watseka was arrested Tuesday for violation of an Order of Protection.  He was transported to ICJ.

 

Lyle Vinson, 42 of Watseka was arrested on Tuesday, for retail theft from Casey's General Store.  He was transported to ICJ.

 

 

Milford man killed in car wreck ID'd

A Milford man was killed in a single-vehicle crash in northwestern Vermilion County early Saturday.

Illinois State Police report that 51-year-old Kevin T. Perkins was driving south on Illinois 49, about five miles north of Armstrong, just after 4 a.m. when his car left the road to the east.

Police said Mr. Perkins was traveling above the speed limit when he overcorrected and went off the road again and into the west ditch.

The car overturned and came to rest on its side in the adjacent field. Mr. Perkins was unresponsive.

Police said he was not wearing a seatbelt.

He was taken to Carle Foundation Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 6:15 a.m., according to Champaign County Coroner Duane Northrup.

 

No autopsy will be performed but an inquest may be held at a later date.

 

The death is being investigated by the Northrup's office and state police from District 10.

Illinois State Police Arrests May 2, 2017

ASHKUM, IL- Illinois State Police (ISP) District 21 is reporting the arrest of Jacob P. Pitts, 35, of St. Anne for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Drugs. 

 

On May 1, 2017 at approximately 11:18 P.M., an Illinois State Trooper was on patrol in Kankakee County.  The trooper observed a vehicle with only one headlight illuminated.  The trooper stopped the vehicle and spoke with the driver, Jacob Pitts.  Pitts showed signs of alcohol and drug impairment.  Pitts was placed under arrest and transported to the Kankakee County jail for processing.  Pitts was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Drugs.  Pitts was also issued citations for improper lighting, driver’s license not on person, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

Illinois State Police Arrests May 1, 2017

ASHKUM, IL- Illinois State Police (ISP) District 21 is reporting the arrest of Carolyn M. Madden, 53, of Oak Forest; Ervin L. Brown, 52, of Chicago for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. 

 

On April 28, 2017 at approximately 4:30 P.M., an Illinois State Trooper was dispatched to a crash on I-57 northbound at mile post 288.5.  The trooper arrived on scene and spoke with the driver, Carolyn Madden.  Madden showed signs of alcohol impairment and was placed under arrest and transported to the Iroquois County Jail for processing.   Madden was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Driving While License Suspended.  Madden was also issued citations for failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash and improper lane usage. 

 

On April 28, 2017 at approximately 11:03 P.M., an Illinois State Trooper was on patrol in Kankakee County.  The trooper observed a vehicle driving all over the roadway.  The trooper stopped the vehicle and spoke with the driver, Ervin Brown.  Brown showed signs of alcohol impairment and was placed under arrest and transported to the Kankakee County jail for processing.  Brown was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and issued a citation for illegal transportation of alcohol.
