ISP WEEKEND ARRESTS

Illinois State Police (ISP) District 21 is reporting the arrest of Justin A. Watson, 21, of South Holland for Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Possession of Cannabis and Possession of a Controlled Substance; Kristan M. Pelehowski, 32, of Chatsworth for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol; and Alfred V. Brown Jr., 48, of Bourbonnais for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. 
 
On July 26, 2018 at approximately 4:10 P.M., an Illinois State Trooper was on patrol in Iroquois County.  The trooper observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on I57 southbound at milepost 294.  The trooper stopped the vehicle a spoke with the driver, Justin Watson.  A subsequent search of Watson revealed 11 Xanax pills.  A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed a loaded handgun, 16 grams of cannabis, three fraudulent driver’s licenses, and three fraudulent checks.  Watson was placed under arrest and transported to the Iroquois County Jail for processing.  Watson was charged with Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Unlawful Possession of Firearm Ammunition, Obstructing Justice, Possession of Cannabis Under 30 Grams, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Fraudulent Driver’s License.  Watson was also issued citations for speeding and driving while license suspended.  
 
On July 28, 2018 at approximately 1:14 A.M, an Illinois State Trooper was on patrol in Kankakee County.  The trooper observed a vehicle traveling above the posted speed limit and cross over the white fog line multiple times on I-57 southbound at milepost 323.  The trooper stopped the vehicle and spoke with the driver, Kristan Pelehowski.  Pelehowski showed signs of alcohol impairment.  Pelehowski was placed under arrest and transported to the Kankakee County Jail for processing.  Pelehowski was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and issued citations for speeding and improper lane usage.   
 
On July 29, 2018 at approximately 3:10 A.M., an Illinois State Trooper was on patrol in Kankakee County.  The trooper observed a vehicle traveling above the posted speed limit on Route 17 at 5000 E. Road.  The trooper stopped the vehicle and spoke with the driver, Alfred Brown Jr.  Brown showed signs of alcohol impairment.  Brown was placed 
under arrest and transported to the Kankakee County Jail for processing.  Brown was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and issued citations for speeding, illegal transportation of open alcohol, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. 
 
 

Watseka Police Department News 7/30/18

Police issued (8) written warnings for Ordinance violations on July 29th, These Included (I) for excessive grass height, (5) for Inoperable/ Junk Vehicles, and (2) for furniture in yard.

Police responded to a domestic disturbance In the 500 block of N, Market on July 29th at 10:52 am, Police spoke with both parties and the situation was resolved.

Police responded to a traffic accident in the 700 block of E. Sycamore on July 29th at 2:22 pm. No citations were issued.

Police responded to a juvenile problem in the 400 block of N. 5th St on July 29th at 2:31 pm. The Juvenile had stolen money from the parents then left the residence. Police located the juvenile and returned him to his Father,

Police responded to a 911 call for a fight involving (4) people in the 600 block Of S. Third St, on July 29th at 7:38 pm, Police located the subjects involved and they all stated they were "messing around,"

Police located a subject wanted on a Kankakee County warrant in her yard on July 29th at 7:48 pm. The subJect then fled into her residence, Police were able to make contact and placed 28 year-old Mlndi Parsons Into custody for the FTA on a Hit and Run Accident into custody and transport her to the County Jail without incident,

Police responded to a 911 call in the 200 block of E, Oak in reference to several loud bangs on July 29th at 8:22 pm, Police searched the area and located a male sublect in the alley between Ash/ Hickory igniting fireworks. The fireworks were confiscated,

Police responded to a 911 call in reference to a subject entering a residence that was unoccupied in the 300 block of east Cherry on July 29th at 8:29 pm. Police responded and located the subject who was taking care of the residence why the owner was away.

Police were dispatched to the 400 block of W. Mulberry on July 29th at 9:47 pm in reference to Harassment by Telephone,

Police responded to a 911 call on Juiy 30th at 12:17 am of a person going through the dumpster in Creekside Court, Police located no one in the area,

Police located an open door that was forced open in the 1000 block of W. Lafayette on July 30th at 12:30 am, The owner was contacted and the bu0ding searched, No persons were found inside and the owner could not determine if anything was mlsslng, The door was secured,

Iroquois County Sheriff's Police 7/30/18

On July 24th, 2018, Iroquois County Sheriffs Police arrested Brooke L. Sears, age 26, of Ashkum, IL. According to police reports, Sears was charged with domestic battery- Sears was transported to the Iroquois County Jail where she remains in lieu of bond.

 

On July 25th, 2018, Iroquois County Sheriffs Police arrested Kevin Chjdester, age 30, of Gilman, IL. According to police reports, Chidester was charged with driving while license is revoked. Chidester was transported to the Iroquois County Jail where he remains in lieu of bond-

 

On July 26th, 2018, Iroquois County Sheriffs Police arrested Jason R. Crose age 31, of Champaign, IL. According to police reports, Crose was charged with possession of methamphetamine, burglary, theft under $500, and possession of hypodermic syringe. Crose was transported to the Iroquois County Jail where he remains in lieu of bond,

 

On July 26th, 2018, Iroquois County Sheriffs Police arrested Brandon J. Wood, age 34, of Sheldon, IL. According to police reports, Wood was charged with burglary and theft, Wood was transported to the Iroquois County Jail where he remains in lieu of bond.

 

On July 26th, 2018, Iroquois County Sheriff's Police arrested Amanda J. Graham, age 22, of Bradley, IL. According to police reports, Graham was charged with possession of a hypodermic syringe and possession of drug paraphernalia. Graham was transported to the Iroquois County Jail where she remains in lieu of bond,

 

On July 27th, 2018, Iroquois County Sheriffs Police arrested Lawrence F. Young, age 23, of Clifton, IL.

According to police reports, Young was charged domestic battery. Young was transported to the Iroquois County Jail where he remains in lieu of bond-

 

On July 27th, 2018, Iroquois County Sheriffs Police arrested Paul A Ross Jr., age 32, of Watseka, IL. According to police reports, Ross was charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Ross was transported to the Iroquois County Jail where he remains in lieu of bond,

 

On July 27th , 2018, Steven C. Kelly, age 46, of Loda, IL. turned himself in to the Iroquois County Jail. Kelly was wanted on an outstanding Iroquois County warrant for domestic battery. Kelly later posted bond and was released.

On July 28, 2018, Iroquois County Sheriff's Police arrested Paige E. Chambers, age 52, of Sheldon, IL. According to police reports, Chambers was wanted on an outstanding Livingston County warrant for driving while license is suspended, Chambers was transported to the Iroquois County Jail where he remains in lieu of bond.

Watseka Police responded to a report of a robbery and theft in progress in the 100 block of E Oak at 1:17 A.M. on July 26th . According to Police reports a male victim that was dressed as a woman was approached by two individuals that began questioning his gender identity. The victim attempted to avoid the two males but was then

called derogatory names due to the way he was dressed. The victim attempted to walk away but was then punched in the face by the individuals and had his purse stolen from him before the suspects fled. The victim then called 911 and Officers were able to locate one of the individuals. After getting a positive identification from the victim, they arrested Donald O Russell, 37 Watseka, Russell was charged with Robbery, aggravated battery, mob action, theft under $500, escape, resisting a police officer and a hate crime. Russell was transported to the Iroquois County Jail. Police are still seeking the second suspect,

Watseka Police Department News 7/25/18

Watseka Police responded to a report of theft at Walmart on July 23 rd at 5:47 A.M. Upon arrival, Police conducted a short investigation that led to the arrests of two men, Shaun P O'Donnell, 27 Watseka and Dylan K Magg, 23 Ashkum were both charged with felony retail theft. Both O'Donnell and Magg were transported to the Iroquois County Jail.

Watseka Police responded to a call at CVS regarding a female that was attempting to pass a fraudulent prescription at the pharmacy at 1:55 P.M. on July 24th . Upon arrival Police conducted a short investigation that led to the arrest of the woman. Jessica S Church, 31 Chicago was charged with possession of a controlled substance. Church was transported to the Iroquois County jail.

P.M. that led to the arrest of a local man. Samuel D Snyder, 53 Watseka was charged with battery. Snyder was transported to the Iroquois County Jail.

Natural Hazard Mitigation Plan Meeting Set

The Iroquois County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) is working to update the county-wide natural hazard mitigation plan. The purpose of this five year plan is to identify the natural hazards communities are susceptible, how vulnerable the population and infrastructure is to said hazards, and then identify strategies to lessen the severity of those hazards. This is a collaborative effort, and municipalities that would like to participate in the plan should send representatives to the planning meetings. Public participation is also encouraged and appreciated. 
 
The next meeting will be at the Crescent City Community Center located on the corner of Main Street and S. Colfax Street on the 31st July 2018, at 6 P.M. Municipalities or other entities that will be sending representatives are asked to RSVP to Iroquois County EMA at (815) 432-6997. General public participants do not need to register, and are free to give comments during a public comments period.

On July 23rd , 2018, Sheldon Police arrested Jzaak D. Matthews, age 20, of Sheldon, IL.. According to police reports, Matthews was charged with possession of ammunition- He was transported to the Iroquois county Jail where he rernains in lieu of bond.

 

On July 23d , 2018, Iroquois County Sheriffs Police arrested Veronica R Davis, age 34, of Watseka, IL. According to police reports, Davis was charged with possession of a controlled substance and she was also wanted on an outstanding Iroquois County warrant for retail theft. Davis was transpotted to the Iroquois County Jail where she remains in lieu of bond

Watseka Police investigated a two vehicle accident in the Walmart parking lot at 5:46 P.M. on July 21st. According to Police reports a vehicle owned by Stephanie A Meredith, 40 Watseka was legally parked in a parking spot, During this time a vehicle owned by Richard A Jordan, 75 Onarga pulled into a parking spot next to the Meredith vehicle, Meredith then reportedly opened her door, striking the Jordan vehicle. No injuries were reported and no citations were issued.

Watseka Police responded to a report of stalking in the 400 block of W Mulberry at 7:11 P.M. on July 215t.

Watseka Police arrested Alicia N Hendrickson, 32 Watseka at 9:46 P.M. on July 21st. According to Police reports Hendrickson was called in by concerned motorists as she was driving Eastbound on Rt 24 into Watseka. Police were able to follow the Hendrickson vehicle and made a traffic stop in the 1800 block of E Walnut. Hendrickson was charged with Driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol over .08, illegal transportation of alcohol, operating an

 

                                                       

uninsured motor vehicle and illegal lane usage. Hendrickson was transported to the Iroquois County jail.

Watseka Police assisted the Illinois State Police at 2:51 A.M. on July 22nd at the junction of Rt 1 and Rt 24 at the East Junction. Police were called to the intersection regarding a vehicle that had struck the railroad stop gates, a traffic light pole and also a junction box belonging to AT&T. Police found the vehicle to still be on scene and unoccupied. The accident was turned over to the Illinois State Police.

Andre D Ries, 45 Watseka was issued a city ordinance citation for an Inoperable/Abandoned vehicle on July 22nd .

Johnny Richardson Ill, 63 Watseka was issued a city ordinance citation for an Inoperable/Abandoned vehicle on July 22 nd .

KAMEG Agents take more drugs off the street

On Friday, July 20, 2018, at approximately 10:20 p.m., KAMEG agents executed a search warrant at 359 East Hickory Street #2, Kankakee, IL. During a search, agents located approximately 0.7 grams of suspected heroin, 1.6 grams of suspected crack cocaine, and United States Currency.

 

Byron O. Corbitt, age 41, was arrested and charged with delivery of a controlled substance possession. Quameka L. Wilson, age 36, was arrested and charged with delivery of a controlled substance. Both were transported to and detained at the Jerome Combs Detention Center.

Iroquois County Sheriff's Police 7/20/18

On July 17th, 2018, Milford Police arrested Michael E. Ervin, age 56, of Woodland. According to police reports, Ervin was charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia, He was transported to the Iroquois county Jail where he posted the required bond and was released,

 

On July 17th 2018, Onarga Police arrested Justin E. Johnson, age 37, of Onarga. According to police reports, Johnson was charged with criminat damage to property and criminal trespass to railroad propeny. He was transported to the Iroquois County Jai! where he posted the required bond and was released.

 

On July 18th. 2018, Gilman Police arrested Maria Gomez, age 39, of Gilrnan, According to police reports, Gomez was wanted on an outstanding Kankakee County warrant. She was transported to the Iroquois county Jail where she posted the required bond and was released,

Watseka Police responded to a report of several 911 hang up calls in the 100 block of E Lincoln at 7:30 A.M. on July 19th . Police found that a small child was playing with the phone,

Watseka Police investigated a two vehicle accident at 1:05 P.M. on July 19th in the Walmart parking lot, According to Police reports, a vehicle driven by Wayne L Young, 66 Watseka was traveling through the Walmart lot and made a wide turn. A vehicle that was driven by Terris L McCray Jr, 19 Pembrooke was backing out of a parking spot and struck the Young vehicle. No injuries were reported and no citations were issued,

Stolen Vehicle Arrest, Aggravated Rape, Attempted Murder Suspect Captured

Illinois State Police (ISP) District 21 is reporting the arrest of Charlie L. Booker, 24, of Chicago for Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle. 
 
On July 18, 2018 at approximately 1:25 P.M., an Illinois State Trooper was informed of a rape and attempted murder suspect traveling through Kankakee County on I-57 in a stolen vehicle.  The trooper located the vehicle on I-57 northbound at milepost 319.  The trooper observed the vehicle traveling above the posted speed limit and conducted a felony traffic stop on I-57 northbound at milepost 332.  Assisting officers arrived on scene and the driver, Charlie Booker, was placed under arrest without incident.  Booker was transported to the Kankakee County Jail for processing.  Booker was wanted for questioning from the Chicago Police Department for a rape and stabbing that had occurred a few days prior and he was also wanted from Memphis, TN for a rape, shooting, and theft of motor vehicle that had occurred earlier in the morning.  Booker was charged with Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle, Obstructing Identification, and Driving While License Suspended.  Booker was also issued a citation for speeding. Booker is currently being held at the Kankakee County Jail for charges stemming from the incidents in Chicago and Memphis, TN

Watseka Police responded to an activated alarm in the 100 block of Veteran's Parkway at 7:20 A.M. on Juiy 18th t Police found the alarm to be false.

Watseka Police arrested Donald E Madison, 39 Watseka at 12:41 P.M. on July 18th . Madison was wanted on an Iroquois County warrant charging him with escape after Madison failed to turn himself in to begin serving a prison sentence, Madison was taken to the Iroquois County jail.

 Illinois State Police (ISP) District 21 is reporting the arrest of Korrey W. Farley, 26, of Momence; David G. Marshall, 52, of Manteno; Babar Kamal, 25, of Oak Forest; Alexander J. Gibson, 30, of St. Anne; Gerald J. Housam, 46, of Huntley; and Paul J. Childers, 32, of Kankakee all for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. 
 
On July 13, 2018 at approximately 3:18 A.M., an Illinois State Trooper was on patrol in Kankakee County.  The trooper observed a vehicle traveling 30 mph in a 55 mph zone and swerving all over the roadway on Route 17 at Exline Road.  The trooper stopped the vehicle a spoke with the driver, Korrey Farley.  Farley showed signs of alcohol impairment.  Farley was placed under arrest and transported to the Kankakee County Jail for processing.  Farley was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and issued citations for improper lane usage, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, failure to carry driver’s license on person, and failure to notify the secretary of state of address change. 
 
On July 14, 2018 at approximately 1:37 A.M., an Illinois State Trooper was on patrol in Kankakee County.  The trooper observed a vehicle traveling above the posted speed limit and swerving all over the roadway on 9000 N Road.  The trooper stopped the vehicle a spoke with the driver, David Marshall.  Marshall showed signs of alcohol impairment.  Marshall was placed under arrest and charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.  Marshall was also issued citations speeding and improper lane usage. 
 
On July 14, 2018 at approximately 8:53 A.M, an Illinois State Trooper was dispatched to a single vehicle crash on Route 17 at 4594 W. Road.  The trooper arrived on scene and spoke with the driver, Babar Kamal.  Kamal showed signs of alcohol impairment.  Kamal was placed under arrest and transported to the Kankakee County Jail for processing.  Kamal was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and issued citations for operating an uninsured motor vehicle, illegal transportation of open alcohol, and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.    
 
 
 On July 15, 2018 at approximately 2:16 A.M., an Illinois State Trooper was on patrol in Kankakee County.  The trooper observed a vehicle traveling above the posted speed limit and swerving all over the roadway on Route 17 at Sandbar Road.  The trooper stopped the vehicle and spoke with the driver, Alexander Gibson.  Gibson showed signs of alcohol impairment.  Gibson was placed under arrest and transported to the Kankakee County Jail for processing.  Gibson was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and issued citations for speeding and improper lane usage.   
 
On July 16, 2018 at approximately 8:39 P.M., an Illinois State Trooper was dispatched to a vehicle driving recklessly on Route 45, approximately 2 miles south of Buckley.  The trooper was able to catch up with the vehicle on 1190 N at 550 E Road in Iroquois County.  The trooper stopped the vehicle and spoke with the driver, Gerald Housam.  Housam showed signs of alcohol impairment.  Housam was placed under arrest and transported to the Iroquois County Jail for processing.  Housam was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. 
 
On July 16, 2018 at approximately 10:53 P.M., an Illinois State Trooper was on patrol in Kankakee County.  The trooper observed a vehicle traveling above the posted speed limit and swerving all over the roadway on I-57 southbound at milepost 319.  The trooper stopped the vehicle and spoke with the driver, Paul Childers.  Childers showed signs of alcohol impairment.  Childers was placed under arrest and transported to the Kankakee County Jail for processing.  Childers was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and issued citations for speeding and illegal transportation of open alcohol.

Police were able to get the gun from Martin, which was loaded, Martin was arrested for Aggravated Assault and was transported to the Iroquois County jail,

According to Police reports, A vehicle driven by Benjamin M Laird, 34 Watseka was Eastbound on Walnut and did not realize traffic was stopped. Laird's vehicle then struck a vehicle driven by Kelton D Musgraves, 18 Woodland. The Impact the pushed Musgrave's vehicle into a vehicle driven by Gary A Martin, 64 Milford, No citations were issued.

Watseka Police investigated a two vehicle accident at 6:05 P.M. on July 16th on Jackson near Fourth. According to Police reports a vehicle driven by Nina Varbounker, 93 Watseka struck a vehicle driven by Shirley B Verkler, 66 Watseka. No Citations were issued.

Watseka Police ticketed Maegan D Shields, 43 Danville at 1:28 A.M. on July 17th for driving while license suspended. Shields posted bond and was released.

Iroquois County Sheriff's Police

On July 12th, 2018, Iroquois County Sheriffs Police arrested Anthony T Porter age 25, of South Holland, IL. According to police reports, Porter was wanted on an outstanding Iroquois County warrant charging him with unauthorized state title. Porter was transported to Iroquois County Jail where he remains in lieu of bond.

 

On July 13th, 2018, Iroquois County Sheriffs Police investigate a two vehicle accident on Co, Rd 1500 N near the intersection with Blue Spruce. According to police reports a vehicle driven by Rodolfo A. Sanchez, age 48, of Onarga, IL. was westbound on Co. Rd. 1500 N when he struck a parked vehicle 

KAMEG Seized Guns and Drugs

On Sunday, July 15, 2018, at approximately 5:48 p.m., KAMEG Agents executed a search warrant at 369 South Chicago Avenue in Kankakee, Illinois.  Agents seized three firearms, approximately 3.0 grams of cannabis, approximately 3.5 grams of suspected heroin/fentanyl, and approximately 4.0 grams of suspected crack cocaine.  Arrested was Matthew R. Jones, age 27, of Kankakee.  Jones was arrested for Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Felon, Unlawful Possession of a Stolen Firearm, Unlawful Possession of a Defaced Firearm, and Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver.  Jones was transported and detained at the Jerome Combs Detention Center.  KAMEG was assisted by the Kankakee Police Department.

Watseka Police were called to the 800 block of Franklin Street at 6:39 A.M. regarding a vehicle taken without permission. The vehicle was later located In Woodland.

 

Watseka Police were called to the 400 block of Ralph Street at 8:28 A.M. regarding a suspicious person, Police were unable to locate anyone in the area,

 

Watseka Police were called to the 600 Block of Lincoln Avenue at 9:57 A.M. regarding a suspicious person. Police were unable to locate anyway in the area.

 

Watseka Police were called to a local business in the 500 block of E Walnut at 10:34 A.M. regarding a report of the clerk being threatened with a knife by a customer. Police were then able to review the video and they recognized the suspect as a local resident. Police then located the suspect, Patrick M Laird, 42 Watseka. Laird was charged with Aggravated Assault and Disorderly Conduct. Once Laird was taken into custody, Police located 2 pills on him and he was charged with Possession of a controlled substance. Laird was transported to the Iroquois County jail,

Watseka Police assisted the Hoopeston Police Department regarding a hit and run that occurred in Hoopeston at 4:56 P.M. Police were able to locate the vehicle and the case was turned over to Hoopeston PD.

Watseka Police Department were called to the 500 block of E Grant at 6:14 P.M. regarding a syringe and drug equipment being found on the property. Police took the items and disposed of them.

 

Watseka Police Department were called to the 900 block of N Jefferson at 8:59 P.M. regarding a violation of an order of protection. After a short investigation Police arrested Rebecca L Williams, 45 Watseka. Williams was charged with violation of an order of protection and disorderly conduct. Williams was transported to the Iroquois County jail.

Iroquois County Sheriff's Police 7/12/18

On July 10th, 2018, Iroquois County Sheriffs Police arrested Cheyenne M, Hollingsworth, age 23, of Onarga. According to police reports, Hollingsworth was wanted on an outstanding Livingston County warrant charging her with possession of a controlled substance, Hollingsworth was aware of her warrant and turned herself into the Iroquois County Jail where she is awaiting extradition back to Livingston County.

 

On July 10th, 2018, Milford Police arrested Joshua E. Kempen, age 28, of Milford. According to police reports, Kempen was wanted on an outstanding Vermilion County warrant charging him with possession of methamphetamine. He was transported to the Iroquois County Jail where he was later extradited back to Vermilion County,

 

On July 1 I th, 2018, Gilman Police arrested David R. Blair, age 39, of Gilman. According to police reports, Blair was charged with possession of methamphetamine precursors and possession of a narcotics instrument. He was transported to the Iroquois County Jail where he remains in lieu of bond.

KAMEG Agents make Drug Bust in Kankakee County

 

On Saturday, July 7, 2018, at approximately 7:30 p.m., KAMEG Agents arrested Dewitt L. Holbrook, age 29, of Kankakee, after a traffic stop near 662 West Merchant Street in Kankakee. Dewitt was arrested for three counts of delivery of a controlled substance stemming from previous KAMEG investigations. Holbrook was transported and detained at the Jerome Combs Detention Center.

On July 08th , 20181 Iroquois County Sheriff's Police arrested Jeremiah J. Walker, age 39, of Watseka, IL.According to police reports, Walker was charged with theft under $500 and criminal trespass to property. Walker was transported to the Iroquois County Jail where he remains in lieu of bond.

On July 04th , 2018, Sheldon Police arrested Anthony W, Littlejohn, age 50, of Sheldon, IL. According to police reports, Littlejohn was wanted on an outstanding Iroquois County warrant charging him with unlawful delivery of cannabis. Littlejohn was transported to the Iroquois County Jail where he remains in lieu of bond.

 

On July 04h 2018, Iroquois County Sheriffs Police arrested Roger Thompson, age 36, of Woodland, IL. According to police reports, Thornpson was wanted on two outstanding Iroquois County warrants charging him with domestic battery and battery, Thompson was transported to the Iroquois County Jail where he later posted bond and was released.

  1. Police Investigated an accident which occurred on Friday June 29, 2018 at 2:42 P.M. in the Casey's parking lot. A vehicle driven by Dustina M. Stringham, 31 of Stockland was pulling in a parking space, when she collided wlth a vehicle driven by Tyler S. Smith, 47 of Valparaiso, IN that was backing from a parking space. No injuries were reported and no citations were issued.
  2. Brittany N. Ealy, 26 of Sheldon was ticketed on Friday June 29, 2018 at 6:17 P.M. for No valid registration and Operation of an uninsured motor vehicle after she was stopped on S, Belmont Av. near E. Fajrman Av. for the registration. She posted bond and was released.
  3. Harry D. Branch, 70 of Watseka was ticketed on Friday June 29, 2018 at 6:48 P.M. for Failure to wear a seat belt and Operatlon of an uninsured motor vehicle, after he was stopped for the seat belt violation on E. Walnut St, near 8th Street. A passenger in the vehicle, Tammy T. Wolf, 38 of Watseka was also ticketed for failure to wear a seat belt. They both posted bond and were released.
  4. Christopher J. Latty, 23 of Kankakee was ticketed on Friday June 29, 2018 at 7:37 P.M. for Operation of an uninsured motor vehlcle, after he was stopped on W. Walnut St. near S. Yount Avenue, He posted bond and was released.
  5. Joshua T. Berry, 31 of Watseka was arrested on Saturday June 30, 2018 at 1:39 A.M. for Retail theft from Casey's. He was transported to ICSD Jail where he later posted bond and was released.

Iroquois County Sheriff's Police 7/2/18

On June 29th, 2018, Gilman Police arrested Helen A. Kollar, age 26, of Gilman, According to police reports, Kollar was wanted on an outstanding Kankakee County warrant charging her with retail theft as well as a DuPage County warrant charging her with burglary. She was transported to the Iroquois County Jail where she remains awaiting extradition back to Kankakee and DuPage Counties.

 

 

On July 1, 2018, Janifa Neiman, age 28, of Crescent City turned herself into the Iroquois County Jail to begin a 30 day sentence for unlaMul possession of a controlled substance.
