On November 1st, 2017, Iroquois County Sheriffs Police arrested Stephen E. Eib, age 58, of Donovan, IL. Eib was wanted on a Vermilion County warrant for failing to appear on a prior driving while his license is suspended charge. He was taken into custody and transported to the Iroquois County Jail where he remains awaiting extradition to the Vermilion County Jail.

 

On November 1st, 2017 Iroquois County Sheriffs Police investigated a single vehicle accident on Co. Rd. 2000E near Co. Rd. 1150N in rural Milford, IL. According to police reports, a vehicle driven by Dylan A. Payne, age 18, of Milford, IL was traveling south on Co. Rd. 2000E when his vehicle began to hydroplane, and he lost control. Payne's vehicle entered the west ditch and overturned multiple times. Payne reported no injuries. No citations were issued. Milford Fire and EMS assisted with the scene,

 

1. Police investigated an accident which occurred on Monday October 30, 2017 at 9:53 A.M. on S. 2nd St. at the intersection with W. Jefferson Avenue. A vehicle driven by Steven W. Cross, 62 of Watseka was south bound on 2' St., when a vehicle driven by Margaret A. Stahler, Si of Watseka turned from W. Jefferson onto S. 2nd Street. Stahler made the turn too wide and stuck the side of a trailer that Cross was pulling. No injuries were reported and no citations were issued.

 

2. Police investigated an accident which occurred on Tuesday October 31, 2107 at 9:46 A.M. in the 300 block of E. Coney Avenue. A vehicle driven by Connie R, Nlmz, 63 of Wellington was backing out of a driveway, when she struck a parked and unoccupied vehicle owned by Michelle Long of Watseka. No injuries were reported and no citations were issued.

 

3. Police investigated an accident which occurred on Wednesday November 1, 2017 at 6:50 P.M. on S. Belmont Av. at the intersection with Martin Avenue. A vehicle driven by Chad G Cluver, 45 of Watseka was southbound on Belmont Av. and made a left turn onto Martin Avenue, Cluver did not see Lenda A. Brasel, 73 of crossing the street. Cluver's vehicle struck Brasel, who was taken to Iroquois Memorial Hospital by Ambulance for non-life threatening injuries. No citations were issued.

 

4. Simone S. McCoy, 45 of Kankakee was ticketed on Wednesday November 1, 2017 at 12:04 A.M. for Operation of a motor vehicle with suspended registration. She was stopped on W. Lafayette St. near N. Jefferson St. after an Officer ran the registration on her vehicle and it returned suspended. She posted bond and was released.

 

On Wednesday, November 1, 2017, the Iroquois County Sheriff's Office, with the

assistance of the Kankakee County Sheriff's Office, the Illinois State Police, the St. Anne Police Department and the Illinois Conservation Police, arrested Michael L. Chism, age 41, of rural

Pembroke, IL, on charges of Armed Robbery, Unlawful Use of a Weapon by a Felon and Theft following the investigation of a bank robbery at the Iroquois Farmers State Bank in Beaverville, IL, An undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency was taken in the robbery, which occurred at approximately 9:40 a.m. The investigation identified Mr. Chism as a suspect and he was subsequently located at his residence, where he was taken in to custody without incident. Mr. Chism was transported to the Iroquois County Jail where he remains awaiting a court appearance.
