356 grams of suspected cannabis, 82 suspected ecstasy tablets, approximately 10 prescription pills, and 2 firearms taken off the streets

On Monday, February 25, 2019, at approximately 4:24 p.m., KAMEG Agents, with assistance from officers from the Kankakee Police Department including their SWAT team, executed a search warrant at an upstairs apartment located at 662 West Station Street in Kankakee, Illinois. During a search, Agents located approximately 356 grams of suspected cannabis, 82 suspected ecstasy tablets, approximately 10 prescription pills, and one loaded firearm. The resident, Judah Herring, age 19, was arrested. During his apprehension, an additional loaded firearm was recovered from Herring. Herring was charged with armed violence, four counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver within 500 feet of a park, and for unlawful possession of cannabis with intent to deliver. Herring was also wanted on an outstanding Kankakee County warrant for failure to appear on a property damage charge. A second resident, Claudia L. Posing, age 18, was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver within 500 feet of a park and for unlawful possession of cannabis with intent to deliver. Both were transported to the Jerome Combs Detention Center.
