Sharon L Knisley, 78, Henry, IL and formerly of Sheldon, IL passed away on March 28, 2024 in Sun City, AZ. She was born on December 9, 1945 in Mattoon, the daughter of Paul W. and Louise (Howe) Gust and they preceded her in death. She married Verlyn Knisley on June 29, 1968 in Mattoon and he preceded her in death on November 17, 2014.

 

She is survived by one son, Kevin (Suzanne) Knisley of Henry; one daughter, Jennifer Knisley of Sun City, AZ; one brother, Randy Gust of Arizona; and two grandchildren, Payton Knisley (Alexander Mark) and Jackson Knisley.

 

Sharon was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Watseka. She was a school teacher in Sheldon for over thirty-six years. Sharon enjoyed reading and playing cards.

 

Visitation will be from 5-8 pm on Tuesday April 16, 2024 at Baier Funeral Home in Watseka. A memorial service will be at 10:30 am on Wednesday April 17, 2024 at Calvary Lutheran Church in Watseka. Pastor Aaron Uphoff will officiate. Private burial in Monticello will be at a later date.
