Sylvia Anne Yoder, 87, of Gilman passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at Gilman Nursing Home in Gilman. She was born on February 27, 1937 in Nesmith, SC, the daughter of Julius H. and Violet (Owens) Jones.

 

Surviving are her four sons, Phil Yoder Jr (Diane), C. Rodney Yoder, Jeffrey Yoder, and Timothy Yoder; two sisters, Barbara Simmons and Sara Jones; her grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

 

She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, John H. Jones.

Mrs. Yoder enjoyed gardening, reading, and bird watching. She attended St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Gilman.

 

Graveside services will be at 1:00 pm on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at Wenger Cemetery in Gilman. Rev. Dr. Pete Hinrich will officiate.

 

Memorials may be made towards the charity of the donor’s choice.

 

Arrangements are by the Knapp-Redenius Funeral Home in Gilman.
