Janet B. Honn, 80, of Kankakee passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2024 at Faith Place in Danforth. She was born on April 18, 1943 in Bradley, a daughter of Christie and Julie (Overton) Pucek and they preceded her in death. Janet married Joseph M. Honn on June 10, 1961 in Kankakee and he preceded her in death on May 21, 2016.

 

Janet is survived by two sons, Mike Honn of Bradley and Stacey (Sarah) Honn of Gilman; four grandchildren, Tristan Honn, Sadie Shell, Dillon Honn, and Kyle Honn; two great-grandchildren, April and Owen Shell; and one sister, Stephanie Beranek of Houston, Texas.

 

Janet enjoyed cooking and was a cook for many years at a school.

 

Per Janet’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral.

 

Arrangements are by the Knapp-Redenius Funeral Home in Gilman.
