Glynn Curtis Caron, 45, of Ashkum passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at Ascension St. Mary’s Hospital in Kankakee. He was born on September 15, 1978 in Hazel Crest, a son of Steven and Debra (La Cost) Caron. He was preceded in death by his father.

 

Glynn is survived by his significant other, Ruth Thurston of Ashkum; mother, Debra Caron of Kankakee; sister, Shelly (Scott) Sargent of Kankakee; two brothers, Robert Caron (Corinne Noak) of Seneca and Stephen Caron (Jamie Garrett) of Bolingbrook; nieces and nephews, Thomas Caron, Emily Sargent, Alyssa Noak, Amber Morgan, Michael Caron, April Morgan, Robert Caron Jr., Richie Young, and Logan Caron; and several great nieces and nephews.

 

Glynn attended Trinity Church Ashkum Campus. He was a truck driver and enjoyed farming and raising chickens. Glynn was a very talented balloon artist and enjoyed blacksmithing. He also was a proud advocate for safe housing from addiction.

 

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at the Trinity Church Ashkum Campus. Fellowship will begin at 10:30 a.m. just prior to the service. Guests are encouraged to stay and fellowship at the lunch to follow the service. 

 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity Church Ashkum Campus to be used for their homeless ministry.
