Daniel Lawrence “Sparky” Domagalla, of Ashkum, peacefully transitioned from this life on March 7, 2024, surrounded by his loving family and friends at the age of 58, following a short battle with cancer. He was born on October 9, 1965 in Joliet, IL.

Daniel worked as a waste management professional for over 38 years at Homewood A & J Disposal, where he enjoyed working with many friends. If he wasn’t at the job he loved he was enjoying a good cold Miller in his garage or a ride around Ashkum in his 1923 Ford T-bucket. Daniel had a passion for antiquing and buying Christmas decorations. He cherished time decorating the home he shared with his loving wife. Daniel adored spending quality time with his many grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by every person he touched.

Surviving are his wife of 23 years, Kerry Domagalla. Three daughters: Kara (Andrew) Pronger of Texas, Krista (Jake) Archambault, of Indiana, and Kaylee (Richard) Rybolt of Gilman. Ten grandchildren: Ryan, Tony, Max, Gabe, Leo, Luke, Chloe, Little Richie, Daisy, Rilee. Three great grandchildren: Diana Lynn, Parker, Theodore. His Mother Charlotte Domagalla. His father in law and mother in law: Jim and Joy Boothe. Three brothers: Randy (Paulette) Domagalla, Ricky Domagalla, Larry (Sally) Domagalla. Two brother in laws: Mitchell (Sharon) Boothe, Todd (Janet) Boothe. One sister in law Vickie Boothe and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death is his father Lawrence Domagalla. One brother and sister in law Gary and Lisa Domagalla. One brother in law Darren Boothe.

Per Daniel’s wishes, there will be no services.

The Knapp Funeral Home in Clifton is handling the arrangements for the family.

Memorials may be made to Prairieview Lutheran Home in Danforth, IL or Uplifted Care in Bourbonnais, IL.
