Edward Charles Hall, 63, of Watseka

Edward Charles Hall, 63, of Watseka passed away on Friday, March 1, 2024 at Toulon Rehab and Health Care Center in Toulon, IL. He was born on February 15, 1961 in Watseka, the son of Charles and Beverly (Riley) Hall. He married Marlene Neisewander in L’Erable on April 27, 2002 and they had been together for thirty-four years – almost thirty-five years, before Ed’s passing.

Surviving are his wife, Marlene Hall of Watseka; three daughters, Stacy Hall Funk of Sheldon, Mariah Hall of Watseka, and Miranda Hall of Chicago; his mother, Beverly Hall Foster of Watseka; one brother, Carey (Leslie) Hall of Aroma Park; two grandchildren, Ally (Nikko) Menard and Finley Funk; three niece, Ashley Hall of Lithia, FL, Jeanette Noel of Bradley, and Megan Wetzel of Watseka; four nephews, Charles Hall of Bourbonnais, IL and Toby Kufahl of Williamsburg, VA, Nathan Neisewander of Watseka and Micah Wetzel of Watseka; three brother in laws, Ronnie Neisewander of Martinton, Norman Neisewander of Watseka, and Gil Wetzel of Watseka.

Edward was preceded in passing by his father and one sister, Karen Hall Wetzel.

Mr. Hall was an avid Chicago Bears fan, enjoyed watching Fighting Illini sports, football, fishing, and playing cards. Ed enjoyed canoeing, arts, crafts, painting, and spending time with his family. He proudly served in the United States Navy and served during the Iranian Hostage Crisis while spending 222 days at sea on the USS Constellation CV-64.

Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 pm on Monday, March 11, 2024 at Knapp Funeral Home in Watseka.

Funeral mass will be at 10:00 am on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in L’Erable. Fr. Doug Hauber will officiate. Burial will follow in St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in L’Erable. Graveside military rites will be provided by Watseka American Legion Post #23.

Memorials may be made to Legion Park – Watseka, Shriners Children’s Hospital, or to the Masses.
