Roland R. Kuhlman, 84, of Watseka

Roland R. Kuhlman, 84, of Watseka passed away on Friday, January 19, 2024 at Prairieview Lutheran Home in Danforth. He was born on September 25, 1939 in Watseka, a son of Raymond and Maxine (Hansen) Kuhlman. Roland married Marilyn Fruendt on June 16, 1962 and she preceded him in death on November 1, 1998. He was also preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Wayne Kuhlman.

Surviving are his daughter, Lisa (Tim) Gocken of Watseka; two grandchildren, Ashley and Alex Gocken; and one half-sister, Betsy Giacomi of Joliet.

Roland was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Watseka. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army. Roland worked for 42 years as a pressman at Uarco in Watseka. He served as an umpire in baseball and softball for 17 years. Roland enjoyed bowling and fishing. He was a fan of all sports and loved attending games. Roland even recorded three holes-in-one during his time spent playing golf.

Visitation will be from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at the Knapp Funeral Home in Watseka as well as one hour prior to the memorial service on Thursday at church. Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at Calvary Lutheran Church in Watseka with Rev. Aaron Uphoff officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Watseka with graveside military rites by the Watseka American Legion Post 23.

Memorials may be made to the Iroquois Memorial Hospice, American Cancer Society, or donor's choice.
