James D. “Buddy” McManis Jr., 65, of Watseka passed away on November 24, 2023 at his residence.

Buddy was born on July 14, 1958 in Watseka, the son of James and Arvella (Tiarks) McManis Sr.  He was preceded in death by his father.

He is survived by his mother, Arvella McManis; one daughter, Kayla McManis of Crescent City; two sisters, Marcia (Keith) Eden of Dorsey, IL and Debra (Charles) Rakers of Burns Harbor, IN; and his life-long friend, Rev. John Cross.

Bud had a gift for music and photography.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral service on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at Knapp Funeral Home in Watseka.  Burial will follow at Body Cemetery near Woodland.

Memorials may be made to Woodland United Methodist Church.
