Marilyn Jeanette Fritz, 86, of Clifton passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at Arcadia Care of Clifton.

Jeanette was born on December 13, 1936 in Stark County, the daughter of Harold and Edith (Shafer) Klepfer and they preceded her in death.  She married Kenneth M. Wyss in March of 1957 in Peoria County and he preceded her in death on May 19, 1987.  She later married Gerald Fritz on January 16, 1991 and he preceded her in death on January 7, 2017.  She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Pam Wyss, two sisters, Betty Donsbach and Martha Etter, one brother, Bill Klepfer, one step-granddaughter, Andrea Fritz; and one grandson-in-law, Greg Kibbons.

She is survived by one son, Kenneth (Linda) Wyss Jr. of Chebanse; one daughter, Becky (David) Kraft of Clifton; three step-sons, Andy (Darla) Fritz of Kankakee, Jason (Shelley) Fritz of Kankakee, and Steve (McGee) Stewart of Texas; two sisters, Marcella Wildey and Fran (Roger) Higgs; four grandchildren, Amy Kibbons, Rachel (Michael) Davis, Katie (Kevin) Hooten, and John Wyss; 7 step-grandchildren, Jaeleigh (Kevin) Jackson, Matt, Lauren, Logan, and Leah Fritz, Will Stewart, and Tim Kraft; and 5 great-grandchildren, Harper Kibbons, Nathan Davis, Paisley Kibbons, Zachary Hooten, and Lukas Hooten.

Jeanette, known to her grandchildren as Grandma Slim, loved spending time with family and friends, listening to country music, cross stitching, sewing, playing cards (especially euchre), and traveling to Branson, MO where she enjoyed attending shows there.  Jeanette also loved cooking family meals at gatherings and everyone always looked forward to her Easter ham.

Private family services will be held at Knapp Funeral Home in Clifton with burial to follow at Clifton Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Leukemia Research Foundation or Kankakee Valley Hospice.
