Phyllis J. Ehmen, 86, of Watseka passed away on Monday, July 24, 2023 at the Iroquois Memorial Resident Home in Watseka. She was born on June 20, 1937 in Cissna Park, the daughter of Emil and Martha (Seigle) Muehling. She married Donald H. Ehmen at the Melvin Lutheran Church in Melvin on September 29, 1956 and he preceded her in passing on October 9, 2019.
Surviving are three daughters, Yvonne Ehmen (Joe Adams of Roberts) of Watseka, Anita (Dale Tom) West of Watseka, and Karla Ehmen (Eric McMillan) of Hoopeston; eight grandchildren, Abby (Scott) Barrett, Meghan Hainds (Randy Gilbert), Cody (Amy) West, Kaleb Ehmen (Samantha Bittner), Ryan (Tara) Minion, Ian (Teneka) McMillan, Marvin (Liz) Hunt, and Devon McMillan (Courtney Pasker); fourteen great grandchildren; one sister, Linda Kottke of Buckley; and two brothers, Ross (Nancy) Muehling of Fishers, IN and Larry (Arlene) Muehling of Watseka.
In addition to her parents and husband, Donald, she was preceded in passing by four brothers; six sisters; and one son, Kenneth Dean Ehmen.
Phyllis attended Calvary Lutheran Church in Watseka. She enjoyed sewing, canning, gardening, all things flowers, hummingbirds, and the outdoors. She loved the sound that ice made crackling when liquid would hit it. Phyllis enjoyed going on walks with Donald and playing the organ and piano.

Visitation will be from 9:00-10:00 am on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at Baier Funeral Home in Watseka. Funeral services will follow at 10:00 am on Saturday, July, 29, 2023 at Baier Funeral Home in Watseka. Pastor Alex McNally will officiate. Burial will follow in Melvin Cemetery in Melvin.
