On August 20th, 2026, Clifton Police Department arrested Kyle D. Smith, age 34, of Ashkum. According to police reports, Smith was wanted on an Iroquois County warrant, charging him with resisting/obstructing peace officers. Smith was also wanted on a Champaign County warrant, charging him with resisting/obstructing peace officers. Smith was taken into custody and transported to the Iroquois County Jail, where he was later released to Champaign County.
On August 24th, 2026, Iroquois County Sheriffs Police arrested Julian Munoz age 29, of Onarga. According to police reports, Munoz was taken into custody and charged with resisting/obstructing peace officers. Munoz was transported to the Iroquois County Jail, where was later released on a notice to appear.
On August 26th , 2026, Iroquois County Sheriffs Police arrested Cesar Aguilera, age 43, of Onarga. According to police reports, deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle being driven by Aguilera in rural Buckley. Aguilera was wanted on a Kankakee County warrant. Aguilera was taken into custody and transported to the Iroquois County Jail, where he was later released on a notice to appear.
On August 26th, 2026, Iroquois County Sheriffs Police arrested Michael E. Polka, age 59, of rural Watseka. According to police reports, Polka was wanted on an Iroquois County warrant, charging him with criminal trespass to land. Polka was also wanted on a Cook County warrant, charging him with theft less than $500.00. Polka was taken into custody and transported to the Iroquois County Jail, where he was later released to Cook County.
On August 26th, 2026, Iroquois County Sheriffs Police arrested Rhea S. Pope, age 33, of Kankakee. According to police reports, Pope was being held at the Kankakee County Jail on an Iroquois County warrant, charging her with theft under $500.00. Pope was taken into custody and transported back to the Iroquois County Jail, where she remains, awaiting her next court appearance.
On August 28th, 2026, Iroquois County Sheriffs Police arrested Anthony G. Torres, age 29, of Watseka. According to police reports, Torres was found guilty for the charge of failing to register as a sex offender. Torres was sentenced to two years in the Illinois Department of Corrections. Torres was transported to the Iroquois County Jail, where he remains.
