On July 1, at 1:20 a.m., the Watseka Police Department conducted a welfare check in the 100 block of East Cherry Street. According to reports, Jake E. Baumgartner, 34 of Watseka, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Baumgartner was transported to the Iroquois County Jail without incident.

On July 1, at 5:52 p.m., the Watseka Police Department was dispatched to the 300 block of West Walnut Street for a domestic battery. According to reports, Dawn M. Edwards, 55 of Watseka, was arrested for domestic battery. Edwards was transported to the Iroquois County Jail without incident.
