On July 7th, 2025, Iroquois County Sheriffs Police arrested James R. Kornita, age 30, of Stockland. According to police reports, Kornita was wanted on an outstanding Iroquois County warrant charging him with parole violation. He was transported to the Iroquois County Jail where he was later extradited back to the Illinois Department of Corrections.
On July 9th, 2025, Iroquois County Sheriff's Police arrested Mollie Clifton, age 35, of Woodland. According to police reports, Clifton was taken into custody and charged with possession of methamphetamine less than 5 grams. She was transported to the Iroquois County Jail where she was released with a notice to appear. Clifton was then arrested again by Sheriff's Police on July 11th after a traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle she was driving for failing to signal. During the deputy's interaction with Clifton, she showed signs of impairment and was subsequently placed under arrest for driving under the influence of drugs. During the arrest, Clifton actively fought with the officers and was additionally charged with resisting arrest and aggravated battery to a peace officer. She was transported to the Iroquois County Jail and is being held pending a court hearing.
On July 9th, 2025, Iroquois County Sheriffs Police arrested Nina Gound, age 39, of Gilman. According to police reports, Gound was wanted on an outstanding Kankakee County warrant charging her with driving under the influence. Gound was transported to the Iroquois County Jail where she was later extradited to Kankakee County.
