A Beaverville man has been charge with first degree murder after a police welfare check at his home Sept. 1.
According to information from Iroquois County Sheriff’s Police, deputies were called to 129 S. Bower Road, Beaverville, on Sept. 1.
When the deputy arrived he was met by Anthony Esposito, 54.
“After a short conversation it was learned that a family member of Esposito’s was deceased inside the residence,” reads the police reports.
An investigation ensued and concluded with county police arresting Esposito. He was taken to the Iroquois County Jail and charged with first degree murder. He remains in custody as of press time awaiting further legal proceedings.
