A Watseka teacher was sentenced to probation after she pleaded guilty to having a sexual relationship with a student.

Stephanie L. Harmon, 32, pleaded guilty to one count of aggravated criminal sexual abuse and will spend the next four years on probation.

Last fall, police received a tip that an Iroquois County teacher was in a sexual relationship with a student from the school.

After a one-month investigation, the Watseka Police Department arrested Harmon, on September 30.

We're told the allegations of the sexual assault did not occur in the school.

During an interview with police, the victim and Harmon reportedly admitted the allegations were true.

Harmon was ordered to pay a $1,000 fine.
