On March 21st, 2022 11:03am, the Newton County 9-1-1 center received reports of a two vehicle crash on US 41 at SR 10 with bodily injury and entrapment.
The preliminary investigation indicates that a 32 year old Wisconsin man, driving a tractor/trailer, was stopped at the red light on US 41 and proceeded north once the traffic control light turned green. The trailer was rear-ended by a delivery truck, driven by a 40 year old Lowell, IN man. The driver of the delivery truck was extricated by fire and medical personnel and flown to Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn. His condition is unknown at this time.
