ISP TRAFFIC CRASH ALERT 

 

The Following Preliminary Information is Being Released by the Illinois State Police

District 21

 

WHAT:                      Two Unit Personal Injury Traffic Crash

 

WHERE:                   Illinois Route 115 at 1200 North Road, Ford County

 

WHEN:                      Aug. 26, 2021 at approximately 7:45 a.m.

 

VEHICLE:                Unit 1- 2007 White Volvo

                                    Unit 2- 2016 Black Dodge

 

DRIVER:                   Unit 1- Juanita A. Kesterson, 35-year-old female of Melvin, IL (Transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries)

                                    Unit 2- Stephen A. Bloomstrand, 65-year-old male of Loda, IL (Transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries)

 

PASSENGERS:         Unit 1- Joey A. Loveless, 36-year-old male of Melvin, IL (Transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries)

  

PRELIMINARY:     A preliminary investigation indicates the following occurred: Unit 1 was traveling eastbound on 1200 North Road approaching the intersection of IL-115.  Unit 2 was traveling northbound on IL-115 at the intersection of 1200 North Road. Unit 1 was allegedly operating an electronic communication device and failed to stop at the stop sign.  Unit 1 continued eastbound and struck Unit 2.  Unit 1 and Unit 2 left the roadway and overturned.  There is no further information available at this time.
