Illinois State Police (ISP) Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) - Zone 3 agents arrested Joshua R. Morales, 28 year old male of Bourbonnais, IL for Theft (Class 2 Felony), Possession of stolen license plates (Class 2 Felony), Criminal damage to property (Class 3 Felony), Fugitive from justice. Morales also had a felony arrest warrant for Possession of Methamphetamines and a misdemeanor warrant for Driving while license revoked. On April 28, 2021, the ISP DCI - Zone 3 initiated an investigation after receiving information Morales was allegedly involved in illegal activity. A thorough investigation ensued, and a search warrant was executed on June 2, 2021, at Morales’ residence. The ISP along with the assistance of the Kankakee County SWAT team, Morales was taken into custody without incident. Morales remains in custody at the Jerome Combs Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing. No further information will be released at this time as this is an active and ongoing investigation.
