Iroquois Memorial Hospital Announces New COO/CFO, Shawn Bransky

- Iroquois Memorial Hospital is excited to welcome the new Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Shawn Bransky. Shawn Bransky comes to IMH as a hands-on, seasoned executive, with a proven record of leading teams to increased operating efficiency, productivity and quality. He has been highly successful in creating an environment of engaged and empowered employees that drive strong patient satisfaction with a commitment to high reliability. Shawn’s educational background includes a B.B.A in Accounting from Mercer University in Macon, GA, an M.A. in Healthcare Administration from Chapman University in Orange, CA, and he is a graduate of the Senior Leader Program at The George Washington University. Bransky has served as CFO, COO, and Administrator for numerous VA and Department of Defense hospitals and clinics across the country and most recently served as the CEO for the Veteran Affairs (VA) Illiana Healthcare System in Danville, IL. Shawn is excited about joining our rural community. He remarks, “It is a privilege to serve on the leadership team of Iroquois Memorial Hospital. Serving others is my leadership philosophy and it will guide my decision-making as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Serving the men and women of IMH, means ensuring that they have what they need to be successful, so they can continue to provide exceptional healthcare services for this region, in a caring and convenient environment. As CFO, I am also committed to ensuring that IMH is financially stable, so that we are here to serve this community well into the future. As a rural facility, we must be innovative, finding new opportunities and new partnerships. To that end, I intend to leverage my 28 years of healthcare leadership experience, which includes positions at many rural facilities similar to IMH. While each has unique challenges, the common thread is a sense of community which is a great foundation to build upon.”Shawn states, “In my short time here, I have had the opportunity to meet a number of staff, who are all deeply committed to this healthcare system and this community. Together, we will continue to look for ways to be the very best at what we do, because we know that's what the people of Iroquois County expect and it's what they deserve. It's clear in my interactions with this team, that they are highly focused on earning the trust of our patients, so that IMH is the facility of choice when it comes to healthcare needs. I look forward to working with the board, with our team members and with this community.
