Illinois State Police Announce Results of Alcohol Countermeasure Enforcement Surveillance Details

Illinois State Police (ISP) Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) Zone 3 Agents conducted Alcohol Countermeasure Enforcement (ACE) surveillance at various establishments during the evening hours of Wednesday, March 10, 2021, in Kankakee and Iroquois Counties. The purpose of these ACE details is to determine which businesses may be selling alcoholic beverages to minors (persons under 21 years of age). Nineteen total locations were surveilled in Gilman, Onarga, Kankakee, Bourbonnais and Bradley. Five establishments were involved in the sale of an alcoholic beverage to a minor. Wasmers 66 Inc. employee Destiny M. Miller, 30, of Gilman; Best Supermarket employee Brooke A. Condon, 19, of Onarga; Fred’s Fuel N’ Food employee Jacob A. Kilby, 35, of Danforth; Circle K # 4701388 employee Melissa A. Gilbert, 35, of Kankakee and Aldi Inc. #93 employee Tyler J. Head, 24, of Bourbonnais were arrested for Unlawful Delivery of Alcoholic Liquor to a Minor, a Class A misdemeanor. All five employees were released on a notice to appear in court. The ISP commends establishments which do not sell alcohol to minors. This project was funded by the Illinois Department of Transportation, Division of Traffic Safety. All subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
