Watseka Police Department News 5/3/19

Police conducted a traffic stop in the 500 block of E. Walnut at 6:49 am. A written warning for a stop sign violation was issued.

Police responded to a 911 hang up in the 1400 block of E. Walnut St. at 8:15 am.

Police took a report of a stolen bicycle in the 300 block of W. Victory at 9:12 am.

Police conducted a traffic stop at Kay and Ash at 9:50 am. Cited for Driving While License Suspended was Michael Malone, 78, Watseka. He posted bond and was released,

Police responded to the 400 block of E. Walnut to remove an unwanted subject at 11:38 am.

Police responded to a suspicious person in the 400 block of E. Walnut at 11:54 am.

Police responded to the 100 block of Lakeview court for a domestic dispute at 3:15 pm.

Police arrested Brett Dirks, 25, Watseka in the area of %th and Hickory at 4:16 pm on an outstanding Iroquois Couoty warrant charging him with failure to appear on a DUI charge. He was transported to the County Jail.

Police responded to a criminal damage to property incident in the 400 block of E. Mulberry at 6:37 pm.

Police responded to the west side boat ramp at 6:40 pm for a found hypodermic needle. Police responded to the 100 block of Lakeview CT. for a domestic disturbance at 9:49 pm.

Police responded to the 500 block of E. Locust at 8:02 am for a found bicycle.

Police conducted a traffic stop on US 24 at the east city limits at 6:56 pm. A verbal warning for expired registration was given.

Police responded to the 1200 block of E. Walnut at 8:28 pm for a subject urinating in public.

Police responded to the 300 block of S. Yount at 8:45 for an out of control juvenile.

Police responded to the 700 block of E. Raymond road for a suspicious person at 10:00 pm.

Police responded to the 300 block of E. Ash at 10:22 pm for a theft.

Police conducted a traffic stop at main and Jefferson at 12:54 am. A verbal warning was given for faulty equipment.

Police conducted a traffic stop on Lafayette, near Madison at 5:11 am. A verbal warning for defective lighting was given.
