Iroquois County Sheriff's Police 2/11/19

On February 7th , 2019, Iroquois County Sheriff's Police investigated a single vehicle on Co. Rd, 200 E. near Co. Rd. 1600 N, According to police reports, a vehicle driven by Jose C. Fernandez, age 35, of Chicago, IL. was traveling on Co. Rd. 200 E. when he lost control and went into the ditch. The vehicle sustained over $1500 in damages. No injuries were reported, and no citations were issued.

 

On February 8th , 2019, David M. DeWitt, age 39, of Marlinton, IL. turned himself into the Iroquois County Jail. DeWitt was wanted on an outstanding Iroquois County warrant for theft. DeWitt later posted the required bond and was released.

 

On February 9th , 2019, Iroquois County Sheriff's Police investigated a two vehicle accident at the intersection of Co. Rd 700 N. and Co, Rd. 1200 E. According to police reports, a vehicle driven by Olga M. York, age 55, of Hoopeston, IL was traveling westbound on Co. Rd. 700 N, while a vehicle driven by Elizabeth A. Seggebruch, age 43, of Onarga, IL, was traveling southbound on 1200 E. At the intersection Seggebruch had the right-a-way and York had a stop sign. York failed to stop at the stop sign and was struck by Seggebruch. All parties involved were transported to Carle Hospital in Hoopeston for treatment. York was issued a citation for disobeying a stop sign.
