Watseka Police Department News 8/24/18

Watseka Police investigated a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Lincoln and Faith at 9:17 A,M. on August 23 rd . According to Police reports, a vehicle driven by Mary J Lafond, 75 Watseka attempted to pass a vehicle driven by Michael R Townsend, 82 Watseka who was turning left onto Faith Avenue, The Lafond vehicle then struck the Townsend vehicle, causing more than $1,500 in damage. Lafond was cited for improper passing at an intersection. No injuries were reported.

 

Watseka Police responded to a report of a loose tortoise in the 600 block of E Oak at 11:43 A.M. on August 23 rd . Police were able to identify the owner and the tortoise was returned to its family.

 

Watseka Police responded to a report of criminal damage to property in the 200 block of W Locust at 2:38 P.M. on August 23 rd.

 

Watseka Police responded to a report of loud music in the 200 block of N Fourth at 4:37 P.M. on August 23 rd .

 

Watseka Police responded to a domestic dispute in the 400 block of W Mulberry at 5:05 P.M. on August 23rd .

 

Watseka Police responded to a report of loud music in the SOO block of S Fourth at 6:02 P.M. on August 23rd .

 

Watseka Police responded to a report of theft of services in the 400 block of W Walnut at 6:12 P.M. on August 23rd .

 

Watseka Police responded to a report of a suspected drunk driver in the 400 block of W Walnut at 10:37 P.M. on August 23 rd .

 

Watseka Police responded to a report of a barking dog in the 600 block of N Jefferson at 12:13 A.M. on August 24th ,

 

Watseka Police responded to a report of drug traffic in the 400 block of W Mulberry at 2:02 A.M. on August 24th .

 

Watseka Police responded to a report of a found purse in the 1700 block of E Walnut at 5:38 A.M. on August 24th ,
