Watseka Police responded to a fight in progress in the 1700 block of E Walnut at 1:27 P.M. on July 25th ,

Watseka Police investigated a report of violation of an order of protection in the 100 block of E Cherry at 4:07 P.M. on July 25th .

Watseka Police investigated a report of criminal damage to property in the 400 block of W Mulberry at 4:42 P.M. on July 25th .

Watseka Police responded to a report of an unwanted person jn the 700 block of W Walnut at 5:22 P.M. on July 25th .

Watseka Police assisted the Iroquois County Sheriff's Department on a report of a theft in progress at 7:07 P.M. on July 25th .

Watseka Police investigated a report of telephone harassment in the 500 block of N Third at 8:47 P.M. on July 25th .

Watseka Police responded to a report of a stolen bicycle in the 400 block of N Fifth at 2:38 A.M. on July 26th .

Watseka Police responded to a report of a robbery and theft in progress in the 100 block of E Oak at 1:17 A.M. on July 26th . According to Police reports a male victim that was dressed as a woman was approached by two individuals that began questioning his gender identity. The victim attempted to avoid the two males but was then

called derogatory names due to the way he was dressed. The victim attempted to walk away but was then punched in the face by the individuals and had his purse stolen from him before the suspects fled. The victim then called 911 and Officers were able to locate one of the individuals. After getting a positive identification from the victim, they arrested Donald O Russell, 37 Watseka, Russell was charged with Robbery, aggravated battery, mob action, theft under $500, escape, resisting a police officer and a hate crime. Russell was transported to the Iroquois County Jail. Police are still seeking the second suspect,
