Iroquois County Emergency Management Agency Plans Local Meeting

The Iroquois County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) is working to update the county-wide natural hazard mitigation plan. The purpose of this five year plan is to identify the natural hazards communities are susceptible, how vulnerable the population and infrastructure is to said hazards, and then identify strategies to lessen the severity of those hazards. This is a collaborative effort, and municipalities that would like to participate in the plan should send representatives to the planning meetings. Public participation is also encouraged.

The next meeting will be at the Crescent City Community Center located on the corner of Main Street and S. Colfax Street on the 21st June 2018, at 7 P.M. Municipalities or other entities that will be sending representatives are asked to RSVP to Iroquois County EMA at (815) 432-6997. General public participants do not need to register.
