On March 26th, 2018, Nathan B. Lee, age 42, of Sparta, IL. turned himself in to the Iroquois County Jail. Lee was wanted on an outstanding Iroquois County warrant for writ of body. Lee later posted bond and was released. 

 

On March 24th, 2018, Iroquois County Sheriff's Police investigated a two vehicle accident on Crescent St. near Park St. in Gilman. According to police reports, a vehicle driven by Laura Barrera, age 51, of Fairbury, IL. was traveling northbound on Crescent attempting to turn into Dollar General when a vehicle driven by Monet Basler, age 23, of Gilman, IL crossed over the centerline and struck Barrera's vehicle. Basler's vehicle then continued off the roadway striking a utility pole and a speed limit sign. Both vehicles sustained over $1500 in damages. One of Basler's passengers was transported to IMH for treatment. Basler received one citation for improper lane usage.
