Illinois State Police (ISP) District 21 is reporting the arrest of Nathan J. Hoffman, 22, of Cullom for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol; Steven L. Schroeder, 59, of Carmi for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol; Jaliel D. Bernard, 25, of Chicago and Naketta L. Johnson, 31, of Chicago both for Credit Card Fraud. 
 
On March 9, 2018 at approximately 11:00 P.M., an Illinois State Trooper was dispatched to a two vehicle crash on 1200E at 2400N Road in Ford County.  The trooper arrived on scene and spoke with the driver, Nathan Hoffman.  Hoffman showed signs of alcohol impairment.  Hoffman was transported to Riverside Hospital due to his injuries.   Hoffman was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.  Hoffman was also issued citations for speeding, improper lane usage, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. 
 
On March 10, 2018 at approximately 12:14 A.M., an Illinois State Trooper was on patrol in Iroquois County.  The trooper observed a vehicle traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes on Route 24 at 200 E. Rd.  The trooper stopped the vehicle and spoke with the driver, Steven Schroeder.  Schroeder showed signs of alcohol impairment.  Schroeder was placed under arrest and transported to the Iroquois County Jail for processing.  Schroeder was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and issued a citation for improper lane usage. 
 
On March 11, 2018 at approximately 5:50 P.M., an Illinois State Trooper was on patrol in Iroquois County.  The trooper observed a vehicle traveling above the posted speed limit on I-57 southbound at milepost 294.  The trooper stopped the vehicle and spoke with the occupants, Jaliel Bernard and Naketta Johnson.  A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed several fraudulent credit cards.  Bernard and Johnson were both placed under arrest and transported to the Iroquois County Jail for processing.  Bernard and Johnson were charged with Possession of Another’s Credit/Debit Card and Possession of an Altered or Counterfeited Card.  Johnson was also issued a citation for speeding.
