On September 6th, 2017 Iroquois County Sheriffs Police investigated a two vehicle accident on Co. Rd. 2100 N. just east of St. Rt. 1. According to police reports, a vehicle driven by Daniel J. Joyce, age 57, of Watseka was stopped at the railroad crossing on 2100 N, waiting on a passing train, Joyce attempted to turn his vehicle around, and in the process he backed into another vehicle that was being driven by Meagan L. Bechely, age 32, of Watseka, who was also stopped waiting on the passing train, Both vehicles sustained over $1500 in damage, and Joyce was ticketed for operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
