James “Jim” W. Moore, 65, of Watseka passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2026 at his home. He was born on December 3, 1960 in Watseka, a son of Stuart Wayne and Mary Alice (Vaughn) Moore and they preceded him in death.

 

Jim married Diann Stoerger on March 16, 1985 in Sadorus, IL and she survives. Also surviving are two sons, Wesley (Ashley) Moore of Cissna Park and Aaron (Michelle) Moore of Woodland; five grandchildren, Oliver Moore, Rebecca Moore, Callie Moore, Charles Moore and Stella Moore; and one sister, Susan (Russ) Lillig of Watseka.

 

Jim was of Lutheran faith. He was a longtime vendor at the Urbana Farmers Market and was a livestock and grain farmer.

 

A memorial visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until the 6:00 p.m. memorial service on Monday, October 5, 2026 at the Knapp Funeral Home in Watseka. Pastor Michael Stoerger will officiate.
