Dennis J. Figg, 71, of Iroquois passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2026 at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee. He was born on April 3, 1955 in Watseka, a son of Elmer and Julia Ruth (Evans) Figg and they preceded him in death.
Dennis married Dawn Marquis in Iroquois on November 22, 1986 and she survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Bailey (Joseph) Gallagher of Huntley; one grandson, Ronan Gallagher; two sisters, Judith Smith of Bloomington and Susan (Stephen) Frease of Carterville; one brother, Irvin (Wendy) Figg of Richmond, British Columbia, Candana; sister-in-law, Janice Marquis; nieces and nephews, Wes Smith, Jenny Makiwa, Alex Frease, Christopher Frease, Patrick Frease, Renee Salamone, Damon Marquis, Shea Marquis, and Beau Marquis.
Dennis loved history and loved to tinker around the house. He enjoyed listening to music, reading, and playing croquet. Dennis loved time spent with his friends at the Iroquois Café.
Cremation rites to be accorded by the Knapp Funeral Home in Watseka.
Visitation will be on Saturday, October 3, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Knapp Funeral Home in Watseka. A graveside service will follow at 12:30 p.m. at the Prairie Dell Cemetery near Iroquois.
A Celebration of Life to be held at a later date at the Iroquois Café.
