Joyce Condit Urban, 76, of Beecher passed away on Monday, August 24, 2026 at Prime Healthcare St. Mary’s Hospital in Kankakee. She was born on April 12, 1950 in Watseka, a daughter of Ivan and Marjorie (Garrison) Condit and they preceded her in death.

 

Joyce married David Urban on November 22, 1969 at the Gilman United Methodist Church and he survives.

 

Also surviving are two sons, Greg (Lisa) Urban of Bourbonnais and Troy (Maria) Urban of Oshkosh, Wisconsin; grandchildren, Easton, Griffin, Anthony, Ashlyn, Addison, and Andrew; two sisters, Judy Henrichs of Bloomington and Joan Johnson of Danforth.

 

Joyce loved birds and watching wildlife of all kinds. She enjoyed trips to Alaska with David and watching her grandkids play baseball.

 

Visitation will be on Thursday, August 27, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Knapp-Redenius Funeral Home in Gilman. Funeral services will be on Friday, August 28, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Gilman with Rev. Vicki Killus officiating. Burial will follow in the Gilman Cemetery.
