Beverly Jean Foster, 87, of Watseka

Beverly Jean Foster, 87, of Watseka passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at Arcadia Care of Watseka. She was born on November 26, 1938 in Milford, a daughter of Clyde and Thelma (Martin) Riley. She married Charles Hall in June of 1957 in Watseka and he preceded her in death on June 30, 1979. She later married Jerry J. Foster on December 19, 1980 in Watseka and he preceded her in death on November 19, 2007. She was also preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; three sisters; one son, Edward Hall; and one daughter, Karen Wetzel.

 

She is survived by one son, Carey Hall of Kankakee; one daughter-in-law, Marlene Hall of Watseka; one son-in-law, Gil Wetzel of Watseka; one step-son, Jay Foster of Watseka; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

 

Beverly was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Watseka and was also a member of the church choir. She worked for the Watseka Police Department for 25 years and was an Alderman in Watseka for 8 years. Beverly performed in the Cantata for 19 years and enjoyed people.

 

Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Monday, August 17, 2026 at the Knapp Funeral Home in Watseka.

 

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 18, 2026 also at the Knapp Funeral Home in Watseka. Rev. Ashley Clifton will officiate. Burial will follow at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Watseka.

 

Memorials may be made to the family’s wishes.
