Janet K. Frye, 74, of Watseka passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at the Iroquois Resident Home in Watseka. She was born on August 13, 1951 in Watseka, a daughter of Albert and Myrtle (Gerard) Schroeder.
Janet is survived by two daughters, Tina Cade of Watseka and Sherry Bruner of Watseka; one brother, Dale (Shirley) Schroeder of Surprise, Arizona; five sisters, Margaret (Gene) Coley of Watseka, Mary Perry of Trimble, Tennessee, Helen (Curt) Sorensen of Culpper, Virginia, Marilyn Smith of Watseka, and Sandra (Erwin) Strough of Gilman; five grandchildren, Austin, Zach, Taylor, Dakota, and Kristin.
She was preceded in death by both of her parents; one brother, Edward “Ollie” Schroeder; one sister, Dorathy Brown; one granddaughter, Paige Bruner, and one nephew, Johny Hoover.
Janet enjoyed spending time with family.
Visitation will be on Friday, August 7, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. until the 2:00 p.m. funeral service all at the Baier Funeral Home in Watseka with Joe Hughes officiating. Burial will follow at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Watseka.
