David “Papa” Tincher, 64, of Watseka passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2026 at his residence. He was born on April 10, 1962 in Watseka, a son of Robert E. and Mary H. (Baker) Tincher.
David married Sharon Daniels on May 9, 1981 in Sheldon and she survives.
Also surviving are sons, Nicholas (Teri) Tincher and William (Vicki) Walver; five grandchildren, Dirk Tincher, Adam (Hannah) Walver, Gabe Walver, Sam Walver, and Finn Walver; three brothers, Daniel (Rita) Tincher, Marvin (Lori) Tincher, and Robert (Colleen) Tincher; nieces and nephews, Samantha (Devon) Brassard, Rob (Lulu) Daniels, Jayne (Brandon) Fields, Alycia Worley, Robert Shawn Daniels, Amber Tincher, Ashley Tincher, and Michelle (Tyler) Atwood; and many great nieces and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by both of his parents; and one granddaughter, Bryn Tincher.
David worked for Iroquois Paving Corporation for 17 years. He was a member of the Local #11 Union out of Joliet. David loved gambling and playing Texas Hold’em. He was very loyal to his friends and family always putting others first over himself. David was a leader not only in heavy highway construction but also a leader at Iroquois Paving Corporation. David loved his grandchildren and spending time with his family. He was the “Best Papa” and will be missed.
Per his wishes, there will be no services.
Arrangements are by the Baier Funeral Home in Watseka.
Memorials may be given to the Ronald McDonald House or the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America.
