Frances E. Starr-Abrevaya, 85, of Watseka passed away on Friday, June 19, 2026 at the Iroquois Resident Home in Watseka. She was born on June 3, 1941 in Indianapolis, Indiana, a daughter of Charles and Julia (Lowlar) Fossee. She married Morris Abrevaya on September 26, 1993 in Clark County, Nevada and he preceded her in death on November 24, 2024. She was also preceded in death by both parents; five sisters; five brothers; and one grandchild Seth.
Frances is survived by two sons, Don (Leslie) Starr II of Watseka and Kevin (Cindy) Starr of Watseka; one daughter, Victoria S. Elsass (John Daily) of Beaverville; 12 grandchildren, Kip, Donnie, Alicia, Amber, Matthew, Nicole, Jonathan, Christopher, Samantha, Tyler, Brittney, and Destiny; 25 great-grandchildren; one sister; and one brother.
She enjoyed soap operas, yard sales, and cooking. Frances loved cats and all of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Saturday, June 27, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral service at Knapp Funeral Home in Watseka with Pastor John Franklin officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Watseka.
