Penny Dorine Gerber, 72, of Bourbonnais passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at her residence. She was born on July 22, 1953 in Oxnard, California. Penny married Joseph Gerber on September 20, 2008 in Elkhart, Indiana.

 

Penny is survived by her husband and their chihuahua, Heide.

 

She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law and father-in-law; and one daughter, Keisha Winding.

 

Penny loved doing furniture restoration, cooking, reading, and enjoyed watching cop shows on television.

 

Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 16, 2026 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Baier Funeral Home in Watseka.

 

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
