Michael G. Marshall, 74, of Watseka passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2026 at Iroquois Memorial Hospital in Watseka. He was born on October 31, 1951 in Watseka, a son of Francis Gordon and Eleanor Katherine (Haynes) Marshall. They preceded him in death along with one sister, Terry Mabbitt.

 

Michael is survived by one sister, Stella Cyr of Woodland; two brothers, Maynard Marshall of Sheldon and Milo Marshall of Sheldon; along with numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

 

Michael was a lifelong basketball fan while also playing both in high school and college. He was fortunate to travel all over while working as a long-haul truck driver.

 

Cremation rites are being handled by the Knapp Funeral Home in Watseka.

 

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at the Sheldon Cemetery in Sheldon with Pastor John Franklin officiating.

 

Memorials may be made to Iroquois Memorial Hospice.
