James “Jim” Alan Marvel, 62, of Chebanse passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2026 at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood. He was born on February 22, 1964 in Chicago Heights, a son of Edward and Donna (Brusch) Marvel.

 

Jim is survived by six daughters, Kristen (Ren) Patterson of Kansas City, MO, Krista (Eric) Rennert of Evans, GA, Katie (Derrick) Graham of Ashkum, Kellie (Jeremy) Holohan of Ashkum, Aeigha Marvel of MI and Ainsley Marvel of MI; one sister, Connie (Michael) Sklorenko of Ft. Myers, FL; his mother, Donna Marvel of Ft. Wayne, IN; his best friend, James “Pat” Graf; and fifteen grandchildren.

 

He was preceded in death by his father and one granddaughter, Sloan Patterson.

 

Jim was a roofer for Langlois Roofing in Kankakee. He enjoyed gardening and loved to tinker in his garage.

 

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

 

Arrangements are by the Knapp Funeral Home in Clifton.
