Sherry L. Jones, 74, of Watseka passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at Lightways Hospice in Joliet. She was born on August 2, 1951 in Watseka, the daughter of Willis and Etta (Pace) Howell. She married Thomas J. Jones in Watseka on March 12, 1971.

 

Surviving are her husband, Tom Jones of Watseka; two daughters, Sara (Gary) Onsen of Coal City, IL and Stephanie (Justin) Pierce of Mazon, IL; three grandchildren, Kimberly (Cody) Clubb, Jacob Pierce, and Nicholas Pierce; two great grandchildren, Stella and Levi Clubb; two sister in laws, Ev Jones of Watseka and JoAnn Williams of Bridgeview, IL.

 

Sherry was preceded in passing by her parents and one granddaughter, Jenna Onsen.

 

Mrs. Jones was in business with her husband, Tom and they owned TJ’s Signs in Watseka. She always enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

 

Visitation will be from 10:00-12:00 on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at Knapp Funeral Home in Watseka. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 noon. Joe Hughes will officiate. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Watseka.
