Wilma Fay Meredith, 91, of Clifton passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee. She was born on March 8, 1934 in Kempton, a daughter of Avis and Cora (Savage) Bailey. Fay married Russell Allen Meredith on August 11, 1951 in Herscher and he preceded her in death on August 27, 2011. Fay most recently resided at Prairieview Lutheran Home in Danforth.
Fay is survived by her daughters, Debra (Charles) Stone of Spring Hill, Florida, Crystal (Gary) Ducat of Ashkum, Lori (Tim) Lauterbach of Howey-In-The-Hills, Florida, Lisa (Raymond) Watts of Milford; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; as well as, three step-grandchildren, four step-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by both of her parents; four brothers; and five sisters.
Fay loved her time spent with family and friends.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at the Knapp Funeral Home in Clifton. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 5, 2026 also at the Knapp Funeral Home in Clifton with Steve Baker, Director of Spiritual Care at Prairieview, officiating. Burial will be at 1:00 p.m. with a graveside service at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, Illinois.
