Ronald “Ron” E. Osborne, 65, of Watseka passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at Iroquois Memorial Hospital in Watseka. He was born on March 16, 1960 in Watseka, the son of William “Bill” and Marjorie (Parsons) Osborne and they preceded him in death along with his son, Eric Osborne.

 

Ron married Edna Cluver on May 20, 2019 in Watseka and she survives.

 

Also surviving are one daughter, Heather Osborne of Watseka; one son, Heath (Brandy) Osborne of Watseka; six grandchildren, Gavin Castonguay, Kynlee Osborne, Wyatt Osborne, Hunter Barnard, Allyson Barnard, and Addyson Barnard; one sister, Sandy (Rich) Pitman of Mesa, Arizona; three step-children; Corey (Angel) Hall of Lewisville, Rhonda (Bill) Poppie of Gilman, and Denise (Ronald) Collins of Kankakee; and numerous step-grandchildren.

 

Ron loved hunting, fishing, mushroom hunting, and feeding the squirrels.

 

Visitation will be on Friday, January 16, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Baier Funeral Home in Watseka.

 

Burial will be at a later date in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Watseka.

 

Memorials may be made to the family’s wishes.
