Mary J. Fiscus, 88, of Crescent City passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2025 at her residence. She was born on November 28, 1937 in Lawrence County, Indiana, a daughter of Andrew B. and Matha (Sexton) Staley Floyd. They preceded her in death along with one brother, Charles Staley; two sisters, Jean Cobb and Diana Hamilton; and one son, Barry Fiscus.
Mary married Ronald “Ron” A. Fiscus on September 21, 1956 in Bloomfield, Indiana and he survives.
Also surviving are four daughters, Rhonda (Randy) Kollmann of Ashkum, Robin (Rick) Elliott of Greer, South Carolina, Lori Fiscus of Watseka, and Linda (Jon) Huizenga of Ballwin, Missouri; one son, David (Nicky) Fiscus of Bradley; ten grandchildren, Shellan Kollmann, Tim (Malia) Kollmann, Tyler (Stephanie) Kollmann, Nathan (Gail) Elloitt, Cassie Anderson, Drew Elliott, Zoe (Quinton) Nolan, Sam (fiancée-Kaitlyn) Huizenga, Abbey (fiancé-Austin) Fiscus, and Ethan Fiscus; twelve great-grandchildren and one on the way; two sisters, Kay (Marvin) Wagner and Masina (Mike) Sargent; and one brother, Kermit (Brenda) Floyd.
Mary began her work career at the Indiana University School of Religion helping put Ron through college. As their family grew, Mary worked at various office jobs before retiring as the Office Manager at the Iroquois Mental Health Center.
A visitation will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. memorial service all at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Crescent City with Pastor Joel Brown officiating. Burial will be in the St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery near Crescent City.
Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army, St. Peter Lutheran Church, or Uplifted Care.
Arrangements are by the Knapp Funeral Home in Watseka.
