Melody Ann Haase born March 8, 1963 has passed away December 15, 2025 at the age of 62 from a long illness. She was daughter to Albert (deceased) and Gladys (Bremer) Haase. She graduated from Gilman High School and the University of Illinois in animal science. She had a great love for animals. Melody was an excellent writer, talented musician, and could always make you laugh. She was caretaker to our parents and managed our farm and other financial interests after our father’s passing. She was a beloved daughter, sister, and aunt.

 

She was preceded in death by her father Albert Haase. She is survived by her mother Gladys Haase Kankakee, IL, brothers Michael Haase (Alessandra) St. Paul, MN, Mark Haase (Cassie) Kankakee, IL and sister Michelle Nimmons (Joel) Fishers, IN. nephews Easton Haase, Brigham Haase, and niece Ava Haase.

 

Our family would like to express our heartfelt thanks to the wonderful care Melody received at Carle Clinic Hospice care.

 

Visitation and funeral will be held at Knapp-Redenius Funeral Home at 234 N Central St., Gilman, IL 60938 on Saturday December 20, 2025. The visitation is at 10:00 and the funeral service starts at 10:30.
